Ian and helga go south !!

We passed by Camping Fuegirola a few hours ago on our way to Cabopina. Can't say from what we saw from the road that Camping Fuengirola inspired us to take a look in .

When you said you were having a slice with your beer I thought you meant fried bread. Then I looked more closely at the picture:doh:

Yes meal was good!!
About 15 to 20 mins in by foot!
Bars along front, all ok, not busy( but it is a wed), drinks good, clean glasses, bottles etc,
Apparently the town behind is more for the day,( I was told) so didn't go in!!
Staff etc, friendly, smiley, nice atmosphere !
It's a nice level walk in, and the only problem, as usual, is the dog shit!! There's not tons of it, but tread carefully! ( this is only at the start of the prom) So all in all, I would say that it is fun on a busy night. Good drink, good food, Will review town and coffee shops tomorrow! Have a good night ,, Ian. Xx

Ian mate at sometime you ought to compile all your adventures and put them in a book and get it published I reckon it would be a best seller. Your not alone at loosing your fuel cap same thing happened to me in Vienna.

Good morning,,,

I slept like I'd bitten into a poison apple last night!!! It must have been the driving, and the few beers!!! Don't you just love getting into bed when you feel so tired??

So suns out here, bit breezy but lovely!!

Going to have a nose round town today, and get a few supplies,, I hope it gets hot again,, I'm going to take the bike today because it's all flat and no big hills to negotiate!!

I like the day times in Spain, lots to see and do, all the shops open and lots of people buzzing about, I like it a bit busy..

So I will try and get some tappas today and eat well, because from next week people I am going to cut down on. Food intake, hopefully get back into a bit of a fit state to handle the manual labour when I return!! The one negative I feel about not working, is I find I'm getting a bit lazy minded! Not eating properly, not any real exercise, except for cycling and walking, and the way I see it is the longer I do nothing, the harder it will be when I'm home!! And I also have noticed that when I damage myself now, cuts, bruises etc it seems to hurt more! At work when I smash my hand or knee or head or whatever I can shrug it off and forget about it, cause I got things to get on with!! And it's easily forgotten, but here. Little knocks seem to hang about longer!! Maybe it's just me, I don't know!!

So along with my outing today, I'm going to try and have a chat with a few people on here, just to see if I find anybody interesting, with a story to tell !!! They all look and seem like a nice bunch,,,,, lots of fins and brits!!!

Ok I'm going for a quick shower now, chat soon,, enjoy your morning!! Xxx

Good luck mate, keep smiling today!!

Hahahaha. Just had a lovely shower!! And it was needed to get over the shock !!!

Got all my stuff together, opened the door, stepped out and. Nothing!!! I thought I was falling off the top of the Empire State Building!! I must have forgot that I put the steps up last night,, God knows why I did that,, ( maybe I was tired). Lol. It's such a long way down those 18in when your only expecting a small step!!!! I think it might be one of those days !!! Lol. Xx

Perhaps it was all the talk of getting done for camping if you have a step out on another thread last night:(:)

Ok. I would like to ask you a question!!
On my way back from shower, I'm looking at where to put my grey waste,,
There are 2 drains for this on the pitch dividing line( I assume for 4 pitches)
But they are not accessible to me because two vans next to me have run pipes from their units directly into the top of them ,, see picture) And taped them over!! Now they have prob been here a while so I don't want to upset the equilibrium but I need to empty tank!!

Do I ask them?
Do I undo tape and just pour?

What do you think? You have ten mins for this multiple choice!!! BEGIN!!

Ian, I have followed your adventure for a little while but not commented on anything till now. I think this post is well thought out and argued well. I hope everything works out as you are thinking and, as Dave Allen used to say "May your God go with you". You deserve to get what it is you want with that attitude.

I remember Dave Allen, mpd!! He was a funny man, with the top of his finger missing! And always a drink with him!! Very funny bloke!! Have a good day. X

Yes and he didn't need to be unkind about people or be filthy-minded or clever. His mother in law lived in Oxford and was so proud of him!

The top appears to have another hole with a lid on , can you get into that.
No mate I have to do it by bucket, my pipe won't reach to waste pipe! And the other thing is fixed on I think you have to drill it to get a hole!! No drama now, I will have a word later!!

If you are doing it with a bucket , are there other drains nearby or a communal thingy somewhere even a cassette emptying place.

Well just got to town!! It's about 15 min by foot!!!

Now sitting in a bar, having my first bottle of beer! Corona, ( actually it's a fake. But drinkable) View attachment 99097 for the offisionados!! With a slice of course! ( as you can see). Lovely start to the evening!! X v

It's not fake Ian,Corona is called Coronita in Spain.

Well the sun is burning hot,,
Nice breeze if I walk the seafront side of the road, so I'm doing a bit of both!!
I'm walking like I play golf,, from one side to the other!!!!

I have just stopped in a lovely Spanish bar for a coffee, and the waiter greeted me in the broadest Glaswegian accent I ever heard! Lol. I thought it was billy Connelly! Lol.

When I'm walking and often singing to myself, on beautiful days like this, I don't find it hard to thank the lord( or whoever) that I have a good life, I know how lucky I am, and that is only amplified when I speak to one or two people back home!!

Throughout the fits of boredom and calamities I have grizzled about, I really can't complains about anything,,, I'm sure there are a thousand people who would swap with me if they could....

This Motorhoming lark was and has been, from me all my life ( UNTILL Xmas) a well kept secret!! Now I know the majority of motorhomers are of a certain age, but why isn't this way of life and travelling promoted more towards a younger generation! Those ( unlike me) who have a much more adventurous spirit, the sence of freedom to be felt from being on the road is truly liberating !! Sermon over!!

Now, I'm gonna drink my coffee and continue my walk!!!! Chat soon. Xxx

You having a reconsider about going back to the UK and battering your hands about again Ian when you could be whistling your way along a cobbled Street meeting new friends people watching over a lovely coffee? What about a job in a Spanish cafe?
