I Love My E & P Jacks

mine on my new Van

Easter reading all of this thread I have booked EP and rear air to be fitted at Courtside conversions in Tiverton can't come soon enough will update when all sorted.Ours is Exsis on Alko chassis 4250kg 2100 front 2400 rear

Wow, having just read the whole thread a lot of fannying about for 5k, for that sort of money I'd expect it to be able to have sex with it and make my tea (wife said she be happy saves her a job), oh and level the van using auto ;)

I think until you've experienced the luxury of just pressing a button and being level, it may be hard to understand. Unless that really doesn't matter to you, which is fine. And being level can make sex better, but I guess that depends on your proclivities

Trouble is people might come knocking

In an Ideal world I would really love to be able to press a button and be level.
But we mostly are on the move most days when touring, and if only a little
uneven I leave it,or use levellers if to much.
Good we have the choice if we want them or not,but for me its too much money for something I don't always need!

a lot of fannying about for 5k

I paid out 5k to avoid all the fannying about and would do so again in a heartbeat. I have to say that unlike some I used to get my millenco quatros set right at the first go but have observed many that do not.

They fanny about reversing on spinning wheels, shooting the ramp out, driving right over it, we all simply press a button, total absence of Fannying about!

To be honest how hard can it be to use ramps, you place them under the wheels and drive onto them
Judging by this thread a bit more to it than pressing a button, however if I could afford them I would have them even with all the fannying about

A lot more benefits than just levelling. It is rock solid off the suspension. Can lift right off the floor for vehicle maintenance ,brakes, Alko greasing, chassis care and wheel changing. Retrieving my underslung spare is now a much easier task too.
I would pay it again, if you have the money it's a no brainer.
I forgot to take the scissor jack out too

BTW fellow users. I now only use them with the handbrake on the first click for creak free lifting (y)

Ah yes Clarky but did you "Fannyabout" or did you hit the Auto button once.
I'm afraid I have to let the side down a bit as it did require the minimum of 'Fannying about'. There is quite a slope towards the water so I had to position my 'super duper cheapo' spacers (see one of my previous posts) under the front jacks to give extra lift without fully extending the legs.
Went to the dump to empty the grey water earlier and used the tilt feature to get a good old 'whoosh' of waste down the drain in record time.
Had a few comments from other owners about the MoHo on stilts. :):)

Richard.

I've only used my Tilt feature at home because of the comments I got at a meet, 'Flash Git' sort of comments. My Frankia has that permanently attached hose which really does benefit from tipping the van to one side.

I also take the remote to bed so that I can tip her out of bed when I want my early morning cuppa. I have to sneak out to put the ignition on first! :giggler:

For 5k wouldn't expect any fannying about, glad I can't afford them especially when the auto means using manual

SAP are still deliberating over whether the VB full air will fit mine. Jury is still out

drove to Lyndon top on friday for my first time away at a campsite in the van ,got onto my pitch, left the engine running, reached over for the remote and pressed the button ,level in 2 mins with no wet knees ,got the other remote and pressed it for the awning and out it came in a short time, pegged it down , matting out, job done ,i had a smile on my face as a guy and his missus flaffed about with their mallencos and then wound out the awning ,i had a mug of tea in my hand feet up.

Simples really:D

Can't believe it was that easy, you sure you had no fannying about........

Joking apart the slope I was parked on at Malvern last year was the only time I've had to raise it and check, all the other times I've been level in under a minute just with Auto.

Suppose I should sell the Millenco quattros and the bottle jack, throw the corner steadies away.:whistle2:

Time to resurrect this thread:)

We've just joined the club and had E&P jacks fitted.

Following the advice here we went to SAP in Doncaster. It was great to meet Mick and Jill after hearing so much about them and Darren did a superb job fitting them. Can't recommend them enough.

Btw. The car park looked like a Funster meet with a least 3 other fans sporting Fun stickers

@Jenben was that you sitting in the hospitality suite with Martin and Jen on Wednesday evening?
If so, nice to meet you and sorry it was a bit rushed, had to do a 5 hour trip home and get up for work at 5.30 Thursday.

Yep. Nice to meet you too:-) Hope your journey home wasn't too bad?

It was pretty good thanks. Glad you like your levellers, Micks a top bloke, well worth the trip.(y)

Quick question to all you E&P jack owners. Did adding them result in any change to your insurance premium??

They are an addition so one has to declare them to avoid an excuse at claim time, but I doubt it makes any difference. Mine were a factory fit so unable to comment on insurance extra or otherwise.

I notified my insurance company Safeguard and they said just save the invoice of the price that I paid in case they got damaged in an accident.

John.
