Apologies as I haven’t read the whole link if I am covering old ground but I was very happy with autoglass - very professional with my Hymer A class windscreen fixed out in the open. £100 excess paid once they completed the job.

Deary me I know I'm grumpy but I'm really not impressed by these lot so far.
I called again at 10.15 and was told they would speak to the technician and phone me back in 5 minutes.
It's now 10.53 and no call
So that's 3 times now I've been told I would be called by autoglass and 3 times they haven't called.
They sent me a customer "how did we do " survey yesterday.
Despite not even fitting the damm thing yet and while your on hold on the phone the recording is bumming them up about autoglass having fitted ex amount of windscreen last year and how customer satisfaction is their goal
So far
I ain't impressed, and it's raining buckets here at the minute.
I do however thanks to a tip from a member on here have all 3 of my calls to them recorded![]()
Yeah there's a few folk on face book had great service from autoglass too. I've no idea what my local branch is playing at but so far I'm not impressed I just hope the fitters are better because right now I'm nervous letting them near my van.Autoglass fitted a windscreen on my car today. I got three texts from them keeping me informed of arrival time.
Yesterday I got an email survey from them. The email made it clear they knew the job was not yet done but was a survey about the booking service.( highlighted in bold text)Maybe you got a different email.
This year after huge difficulty getting a new windscreen fitted in Spain we eventually drove back and had a new one fitted by psv glass in Wycombe. No idea if it is a genuine part or not but it works OK

Psv glass seems to get great reviews and certainly the guy I've spoke with from them Richard green could not be more helpful
Totally get you PaulI am going to have to upset the applecart a bit with this post Tam but I always speak as I find, a bit like you.
PSV said they could fit our double glazed glass side windows, we had the complete runaround for many weeks ending in Richard Green saying the man we had been dealing with was just an occasional worker for PSV who doesn't work regularly for them. We were promised the earth.
The last correspondence was an email from Richard Green saying don't worry we can do the job, I will ring you in the morning.
No call and despite repeated attempted over the next few days I was repeatedly told he was in a meeting/busy etc and would ring back, nothing, nowt.
We initially had booked with autoglas zentrale Melle but cancelled after PSV said they could do the job. We were really lucky to then grovel back to them and get our original date re-instated. The dealer in Germany had said if we find someone in the UK he would pay.
I still don't know if PSV have ever fitted and renewed A class glass side windows, there has been lots of huffing and puffing saying they could do it on various forums but I still don't know if they have ever done it to this day, @funflair I think also thought they may do it to Niesmanns but no one I know has ever had it done.
Very rude of Richard Green to not get back even to say we can't do the job as it nearly cost us our slot in Germany, glad we went though, they were ultra efficient and professional, massive premises, dedicated motorhome overnight parking with water and hook up and we combined it with a holiday culminating in visiting my dream motorhome heaven, Bohmte, wow and double wow.

I'm guessing soDid they expect you to have your 3m high 7m long MH in a climate controlled garage?
I've no sympathy for him ..when he phoned at 9am he said he was doing 2 replacements in dunfermline ...he never asked at any point if vehicle was inside etc . I assumed they had some form of canopy or tent for doing this as I was led to believe it was a specialist team coming out and from Edinburgh whereas these guys said they were from bothwell and only received the job this morningIt’s just pot luck with autoglass , I have full sympathy with the technician ,who got to work in basic conditions , I think I was lucky when I had mind done last dec, he said I am going to chance it ,ie weather window on my phone shows only showers !! Why insurance companies can’t insist on companies with proper premises is beyond me . As we know the insurance companies must have a super deal to use auto glass ???
I was contacted by Richard Green who was promoting the services of PSV and specifically side window refurbs, he said the guy to speak to was John Scrimshaw.
I don't know any more than that as the N+B club don't have enough vans of the same model that would want the service as what they were proposing was to purchase one new/used side window and then do the service on a quick swap basis, I think they wanted about 20 vans.
They did say they could do one offs though it would just take a little longer and mean leaving the van with them or taking in the window frame yourself.

To then phone me at 1.30 when they are already in dunfermline have me drive back and then tell me they can't do it is ridiculous in my book so really the whole experience with autoglass has been one big very unfunny joke.
I'm now left with the problem of what I do now as the insurance company only use autoglass so have asked me to find my own fitter.
I really can't be bothered with the whole thing at this point
I don't want to take it to them lenny I've understandably lost all faith in them.Bet they won't pay for your time and costs to take it to Glasgow.
Yep my head hurts ...I have to ask myself why bloody mePhew what a saga, its difficult to know what to do now for the best.
I was told that they had done a load of Carthago side windows but that's on from PSV so I dont know. The bottom line Martin is that has anybody had their double glazed side windows replaced by PSV, we were prepared to leave the van with them and do anything, a lot of hot air and no action springs to mind, unless someone knows different?
I'm sure I've seen posts on FB that some Carthago owners have had double glazed windows replaced by PSV. Don't know how many though.I was told that they had done a load of Carthago side windows but that's on from PSV so I dont know.
Martin
It was supposed to be a deal organised through the owners club, I have no reason to doubt it really.I'm sure I've seen posts on FB that some Carthago owners have had double glazed windows replaced by PSV. Don't know how many though.

Not what you want hear but ...................... I'd see it through with Autoglass. The organisational shambles has nothing to do with the guys that do the installation. I had some trouble with Laura too but once they were on site the work & their attitude towards it was fine. Start with another company and you're starting from scratch again with no knowledge of whether they'll mess you about too.Well the lies jist keep dripping off this companies tongue.
I've just had the Laura girl on the phone and she's apparently not the same girl I spoke with on Tuesday.
She claims there's been a mix up and they only received the job details today
She says the car department have been dealing with it up till now.
I asked why it was then that the last 3 people I spoke with on the phone all said it was a specialist motor home team that was dealing with it.
No answer.
She then said the fitters that cane out today knew they couldn't fit it because it was raining but they wanted to see the van and make sure it was the correct windscreen for it but they didn't want to tell me that over the phone.
They thought they coukd rearrange for Monday and at least they would know it was the correct glass.
I told her about the screen being sent from psv glass ..She says that is not the screen they have as they sourced it elsewhere.
I don't think they had a windscreen in that van.
She now wants me to take the van to them in bothwell Glasgow to have it fitted.
I have all these calls recorded.
I honestly cannot believe how this has gone.
No idea what I do now
The two fitters that came out today were supposed to be professionals but instead they lied to me. I've no faith in them. Not what you want hear but ......................
