Chairs were allowed previously but will message via Facebook to check for this year but don't know if they will reply in time.Question regarding the music festival.
Are we allowed to take camping chairs in as we are ‘a bit old’
I noticed that at the Party in the Park, London they specifically state ‘no chairs only blankets’.
Thanks

Nice sea view pitch, Even if you only moved 20 yardsMorning everyone, we have just done the Highlands End shuffle!
We only had to clear the drivers seat and open the blinds, oh and remember to unplug.Nice sea view pitch, Even if you only moved 20 yards
I CBA to up sticks to the other one that is free, but wonder who will spot that first ....
That's a shame - it was an impromptu gathering - a few of us did try & let fellow Funsters know, we also walked around to spread the word in person but didn't knock on doors as would only do that in an emergency.Good morning - sorry we missed lasts nights meet as I didn’t see the message until it was too late.
It's very full - you may have to pitch wherever then do the shuffle on Monday morning when quite a few will be leaving. With the new barrier arrivals are strictly from 1pm - our midday arrival was just for last Wednesday & Thursday for this Meet. That means only those on site can move around in that period so good chance of your preferred spot on MondayTotally unrelated we are arriving at HE on Sunday for a week. If one of you lovely people with a nice view who are leaving on Sunday afternoon, are near a tap and fairly close to the loos would like to hang on until we arrive but be ready to depart that would be splendid.
Not much to ask really!
Glad you enjoyed it, but it doesn’t sound our thing but nice to hear the buzz from afar. For those who have tickets but haven't ventured to the festival.
There is a footpath from the front of the campsite via fields which cuts off a corner. Go out of the site past the reception wait area, bridleway marked nature path at corner go past radio mast and take gate on left marked footpath, gets a bit steep but is a semi gravelled track so OK. Will lead under the A35, slightly muddy, before past a couple of houses and then a lane. No side paths on the lanes so beware of traffic. Eventually comes out at Morrisons. On way back its mostly uphill and after dark you will want a torch in case of cars and at the A35 underpass.
All drinks from the main bar are token based, lager, ale, cider effective £5 a pint. There are soft drinks too. No cash at bar for which there is a fast moving queue. Tokens bought from a separate queue. Card machine wasn't working, so cash may be king (expect Morrisons cash points are going to get emptied). You also need a plastic pint glass £2, if you don't have one from elsewhere.
If you take your collapsible chair you'll be able to sit around the site, just not in the stage area, you'll probably get it security checked. You can go in and out once you have your wristband from first check in. Tickets paper or they can scan your phone.
Toilets are portaloos, suspect these are going to get a bit iffy as the festival goes on.
Variety of food stalls, the pizza was good. These are separate so no tokens, cash or card if it works.
Two stages, Main and a big top, and a third tent which last night was a DJ playing something noisy and banging. Doesn't seem to be much info on who plays.where or when, and even less on what type of music. Main stage last night struck me as being a sort of indie rock, but whilst pigeon dectectives (never heard of them before) were on in the little top there was quite a good band with a reggie vibe.
Lots of useful information Would add that the cross country footpath route has a few wooden stiles to clamber over if you stay on it all the way to the lit Festival path & is stoney in parts so walking shoes or similar are best. We went down that way but came back via the road with head & hand held torches & surprisingly little traffic but tonight may be busier. For those who have tickets but haven't ventured to the festival.
