If someone had told me that I would be so upset by this I'd never have believed them, I was very sad when Prince Philip passed away but this is at another level.

I’m just glad that her and Prince Philip had the chance, through Covid, to have the time to spend together, quietly, such like they had never been able to experience through their lifetimes.

A life of dedication, well lived, but one of overwhelming service and dedication to her people.

RIP Ma’am

Being the Queen was so frail for a long time ,she still went to her beloved Scotland for her annual holiday, one wonders whether she had a premonition that she was nearing to pass over to the other side, lets hope her love of Scotland, the rest of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth will keep us all as one as she has done a fine job of inclusion not separation, may King Charles 3rd carry on her good work.

The conversations I have had with people that have some of the "private" information, the suggestion is she had cancer an the family were fully aware that she was going home to Balmoral Castle to die. That is why King Charles and the Princess Royal where there with her for the last weeks

Going to take some getting used to having a King

I am sure that there are many many reasons why we are all sad at the loss of the Queen and also how we are seeing the world send their condolences etc. For me, I think a lot of it has to do with her just being a bloody good person, who was inclusive and had the unique skill and personality that you could not help but really like her. RIP your majesty, you will never be forgotten.

Feel the same Minxy, think because she’s always been there as a constant solid presence. Such a strong and principled lady.

We Toasted her with a nice single malt, shed a tear and will miss her. For now it feels odd to me to have a King, will take some getting used to I guess.

I agree. I do fear in the future for my grandchildren and their children. Her Majesty was somehow in your brain as a leader, a respected lady. Presidents, Prime Ministers last 8 years she however has been in power forever.

He was my commander in chief and I hold him in the highest order to then Prince Charles, thank you.

To Prince William who now becomes our Prince of wales, thank you.

To our beloved Queen, there are not enough words, tears and sorrow to show you how I feel, how my wife feels or the whole U.K. and world but I hope god has a special throne for you right next door to you with Prince Phillip beside our Queen.

God save the King.

Six of us over three generations in our household and all shed a tear and our 14 year old granddaughter couldn’t understand why she was so upset over somebody she had never met, perhaps shows how well our Queen reached us.

I too thought that the new King gave a good speech. I feel a little sorry for our new PM, new in a job with a more than full in-tray now fully involved in proceedings. Boris mist be smarting a bit at losing his front row seat but he did give a good speech in the commons earlier.

I think dear old Philip was enjoying his retirement at Sandringham though, he had his equivalent of a man shed - a cottage in the grounds there. Gave it up to join the Queen at Windsor.

It feels strange having a King. King Charles III. A newsreader last night kept calling the King His Majesty the Queen, in fact I think he said it 4 times in all. I felt sorry for him, but we have had a Queen for all of our lives it is going to take some getting used to.

Not all of us 🤣 but yes, most of our lives.

I thought is was a wonderful speech. Respect for his mama who served with grace and dedication as she said she would.
He has such utmost respect for her achievements that he emulated the dedication. Respect for that.

Announcing the new Prince and Princess of Wales so quickly was a game changer but right.

A sign of what we can expect from a King we can be proud of 👍👍

God save the King as a new era dawns on us all.
