Imo waiting until September is not looking like a good strategy suavecarve and others. If our lot can't get the delta variant of the China virus under control there has to be a risk of existing doors closing.

Haha, you must be mistaking me for someone else if you think I have a ‘strategy ‘.
You may be right but there are going to be other variants for the foreseeable future, it’s just a case of making the most of the circumstances at the time .
We’re not waiting because we think it might be safer although last autumn in Spain and France felt very safe.

We did think about smuggling some bacon and sausage , but decided against it, as we like the food in france, and that there are so many unknowns at the moment, i didn't want to "poke a hornets nest" for no reason.
But i will post as to whether they check or not and how thoroughly, for all the smugglers
