Go Home!

Personally....even thought the Scottish people voted to stay in The Union in a “once in a lifetime” 🙄referendum I would cut the rope and let them drift off into poverty and oblivion...unless of course the price of oil goes back up from zero a barrel to $100 a barrel for the next 50 years which was the mainstay of their argument to leave ( and even then people votes to stay). The Scots aren’t stupid...well most aren’t anyway...and they understand which side their breads buttered. Fed up with their whinging..let them go...see how they fare....it’s a pity but there we go....you can’t stop a child from leaving home if they want to go (put that bit in to annoy people 😊).

At least you're not letting it get to you ;)

A wee suppy yet.

Not really an answer in years though.

What would Scotland have done to service it’s debts when the oil price was on its knees.
After all this was the main stay of the leave campaign.

Go bankrupt again then get bailed out by who?
Bit of a conundrum me thinks.

You've bored me senseless on this topic too many times before. I'm not falling for it again ;) (y)

Maybe it’s returned because no sensible answers were forthcoming then.

It may well be something independent supporters don’t want to face but there it is.

I’ll leave it there and spare any embarrassment 😉😊

Gawd not the old oil argument again 🤦‍♂️
The fishing rights currently being argued over ....scottish

Not to mention all the other assets people seem to be completely ignorant about.

I will be interested to see if I get a reaction tomorrow when I have to travel from my home to Lytham A journey of 50 miles each way in my motorhome, (only vehicle I own) to visit a client for work. I will have to park it outside his home on the front at Lytham so I can’t wait to have a conversation with any moralising nosey Parker or uniformed person.
I live in Lytham - i'll be waiting for you!

I’ve been out working in th me Peak District national park today.

just finished a 14 hour working day.

It was packed. Cars parked on the roads as some lay-bys and car parks full.

Seemed to be a lot of older people out for a drive in soft tops, classic cars and motorhomes.

I even saw a paraglider go over in Taddington.

One woman (Resident of Taddington) who had been out walking with 5 other friends and dogs into monsall dale. Remarked “the greens were full of people having picnics, ridiculous and disgusting, no wonder we have so many infections”

Longer than your water

And that's what you should be worried about View attachment 393294

Where we live it comes in from Wales 😉

For a reasonable investment a desalinatplant could be built in the south.

Unless the sea rises enough to put it under water then it wouldn’t be required 😉

Cant see how a small island can run out of water though 🤔

Back in the 70`s, we took hundreds of tons of equipment, by ship, out to Kuwait. for Vacuum Desalination Plants. They used the "gas" "boil-off" from the Oil Fields/Refineries to heat the plant. Built near power stations they could use the "waste" heat?.

OP was so concerned about health he stopped the vehicle and spoke to the guy. If I was so concerned for my health I would have stayed inside and kept my judgemental opinions to myself

But some people are only happy when they have someone to moan at/criticise, a bit like the group of women in post No 102 who were out enjoying the Derbyshire sunshine, but critical of everyone else doing the same. 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

The side effects of this virus appear to be acute fishwifery

In use before 'hypocrisy' was invented!

Gosh, is the thread still going, I'm going to need to get some more popcorn..........

Fingers crossed it won't be too long before we can return to what most of us know best and that's the enjoyment motorhoming brings to us 🤞 (y)

It is the rhetoric of the original offending post AND the rhetoric of the a number of the responses on here that disappoints me the most 😢

Yes there are plenty of stupid people out there who believe they can do whatever they like and are ignorant of the laws/rules etc.

There are then the ignorant who use those events to push their own biased, political or ethnic views.

As Jim has said many times, this particular forum is for discussing Motorhomes, if you want to have a prod/poke/stab at someone / some group / some nation, then please take the discussion elsewhere!

(* Feel free to replace Corona Virus with another similar transmittable virus such as smallpox or polio or rubella or tuberculosis, all of which you were immunised against when you were a child )
When they start charging the Pakistani's for the resurgence of TB then people might start paying.

I live in Hampshire but my van number plate is from Kent. Just saying. He could have travelled to Scotland to buy the van last year. I was always taught, never assume.
We stay in Glasgow and my car is registered in Birmingham, the sons in Nottingham, the daughters in Luton and the motorhome in Nottingham. As you alluded to the regional location of a number plate isn't really valid nowadays.
