Gareth & Phil have fun in Spain 2025.

Off to the local supermarket with the granny trolley as we need bread and water and the water is very heavy.
One of the best bits of kit we ever bought 6 years old and still going strong, although phil keeps eyeing up a 4x4 model 🙂View attachment 996079

I have a 4x4 model. It's brilliant for using to loadi the motorhome with "stuff" from our 3rd floor apartment.

I don't, yet, use it for shopping. That's for old people 🤣🤣. Says she, 70 next ☹️

I borrowed a large one from a friend at la torreta, filled it to the brim at Mas y Mas and it was so heavy to pull it nearly broke my fingers. Wasn't until I got back to camp I was shown the extra wheels underneath! 🤪
Don't buy one there. They're expensive!
You can now get the 4 wheelers on Bury Market for £35/38 😊

An essential bit of kit if you ask me. We've used ours many times fully freighted with wine or water.....don't like to mix drinks if possible

Benidorm can be a bit of a culinary wastland and very hit and miss. We stumbled across this restaurant last night called "The dining room" behind The yellow submarine bar if you know Benidorm.
They have lovely staff, quality drinks and great value wine.
The starters where amazing with the main course been nice but not amazing.
We would go again when we need a British bistro style meal, I mean that description in a good way.

Jeezo - I can’t believe there is a whole sub thread on bloody shopping trollies! 🤦‍♂️😢🤣
You clearly haven't enjoyed the satisfaction of carefully and successfully navigating a fully freighted shopping trolley back to the van, full of bargain priced good quality wine, and beer of course ;)

Hi
With our new Morelo we are having 3 months chasing the sun in spain.
We boarded the Santona 2 night ferry from Portsmouth to Santander, arriving at 8am on the 28th December. Our return ferry is also from Spain at the end of March from Northern Spain back to the UK.
We are planning to call into Haro in the Rioja region to fill up with wine, beer, and food on the journey to our overnight sleep spot at an aire on the outskirts of Zaragoza.
I will try to add some interesting photos especially food pics 😃 as I myself and my husband are both involved in the food industry and we both love to eat and drink.
We have booked all of January with a mix of campsites and motorhome aires, however February and March we are winging it.
I hope you enjoy our travels and please add any information you feel will assist us in our journey.
Full disclosure we have done this trip a few times now but love to find new and interesting things as to do.
Hi Guys, Im sure you will enjoy your trip. If you are travelling through Spain a good couple of nights spent at Peuto de Santa Maria site and catch the passenger ferry across to Cadiz is a great day out. Also if you are going Spain into Portugal Algave, try a couple nights in or around Monasterio de la Reabida ( just south of Huelva) and visit the monastry museum. Its a great info Display of the discovery of the New World / Columbus, the area is not bad but not about Huelva. Safe travels , Enjoy. Tony

Been looking for a jet wash down here from the Swiss border to lauterbrunnen, I wanted to clean the van it’s filthy but I couldn’t find one anywhere🤷‍♂️ it will have to wait now till I get home!🤔

Edit. Was the alde heating on electric only? If so it’s not great at getting up to temps when it’s cold outside! If you’re only on 1kw it won’t get that warm, we was hovering about 14 deg on 1KW last night, it was -2 deg outside.
On gas however it’s very toasty👍
There used to be a power wash at Wilderswil opposite the Shell Garage so it’ll be on your left if going back towards Interlaken.

Keep er clean Ade 👍👍

Bloody hell i looked at the shell garage side (the one with the rental motorhomes) didn’t think to look at other side, I even pulled in for some fuel on the way out (god it’s tight in there for a 7.5m moho) so I dint look at t’other side on the way out either🤷‍♂️🙄🙄

The site at Puerto de Santa María is very good, all the services and there is a restaurant too which is very good. I put some photos on my Spanish raid thread in case you want to check it out.

We liked Puerto de Santa Maria. Not flashy, big or particularly touristy just relaxed. Also easy access to Cadiz.

Happy Sunday everybody.
A small starter of nibbles, we are also enjoying the bottle of very nice Don Perignon champagne we got from the dealers.
Steak and salad to follow, hopefully we will be out later for the parade but not promising 😃

We were there a couple of weeks ago, it’s a nice spot to stay. We did a really informative sherry tasting at one of the smaller independent sherry producers .
