Gareth & Phil have fun in Spain 2025.

We have booked in at this restaurant for lunch tommorow. Photos will be forthcoming tommorow afternoon.

Ok, change of plan, it's blowing a hooley, so definitely NOT bicycle weather.
We wandered into the local village and stopped at 2 places (the only two open). The second one is a wine bar. Harrrra, pig in sh#t.

May i say you can't go wrong with most of the wines (pictured below).

Me and Shirley Blossom arrived at la Torreta yesterday and had a choice of only 4 pitches, 2 of which we couldn't have got into and ended up in "The Fridge" ☹️ on pitches 15 and 17. We could've been neighbours if you'd stayed on 16.😉
We are moving to better ones ASAP!

We love that area Gareth, is it very quiet at this time of year?

The pork and bean stew we always had in a tiny restaurant in Turre was amazing, but you’re a bit far south for that!

Loving your blog. Continue having a wonderful trip guys.

I have never seen so many motorhomes, yet all the apartments and villas seem to be empty.
Quiet other than motorhomes I would say.

Mr porky now I dont want you to be jealous but look at what I bought today. From the Chinese shop opposite Masymas and a bargain at only 37€x. Note it is a 4x4 model also 😊

I've recently used mine when loading up the motorhome, and I've noticed mine is a 6 wheeler!

I’m not sure about these trollies. I had to stop myself because if you look at Phil with a trolly you just think “what a sensible idea for carrying a heavy load” because he’s still young. But if I suddenly started taking a trolly shopping then people might think “gosh Carolyn has got old” . I’ve pulled myself together and will just carry on ruining my arms.

I don't take mine shopping, heaven forbid! I use it to load the motorhome. Third floor apartment, down in the lift to the car park. It's a brilliant little workhorse.

Now that’s OK, sounds a bit like me wearing my crocs to the shower bloc. When my daughter saw them she was horrified and made me promise I wouldn’t wear them in real life :giggle:

I have a trolley too, you can get lots of cases of wine in it. Great for bottled water too.
I confess that in the late 70's family of 5 no car and supermarket was easy to walk to (downhill) but a nightmare coming back, so like most others in the area where I lived I had a, very useful trolley, also took washing to laundrette before I showed my thrifty partner the saving we could make with our own washing machine. I wasn't 30.

Don't understand you two, how on earth do you get all the beer & wine from the supermarket back to the van?

We have only a 2 wheel one looks more like a travel bag than a old dears shopping trolley, the boss bought it in Woolworth in Germany for empting the loo when I was in hospital.

Used to feel embarrassed about using them but if you notice in France/Spain/Portugal & Germany even young people in their 20's use them. Probably because a lot of them live in apartments and walk to the shops.

Now with those 4 wheel ones how about a small Lithium battery and an electric motor?

We found the same years ago. We left Benidorm, and the area in between there and Fuengirola was closed up and very dreary.

Having said that we’ve been there in the Spring and Summer and it’s a lovely area to visit.

They have a wine cellar as an optional extra in the new van and a contract with Oddbins for delivery? :ROFLMAO:

I think lenny was referring to someone else, and yes we do have a wine cellar although technically it's a wine locker 😁😁
And not that I'm picky but I think oddbins is no more.

🙂🙂

We've stopped drinking beer and wine, except for zero alcohol beers. Knocked it on the head in August when Martin saw a photo I took of him with someone else's belly.

A friend & I went to the Food & Wine show at the NEC a few years ago. We got drunk on free samples, & had to purchase a shopping trolley for our subsequent multiple purchases! I wish I’d kept it now! 😂😂
