Football season is back!!!

Got to agree that VAR is going to give some controversial decisions, the one you refer to was correct though, the ball hitting the arm directed it to Jesus who scored, if you watch it had it not hit his arm it was going to a defender who would have cleared it.
Before VAR decisions would be looked at as some you win some you loose, it evens out over the season, but will it now !
About being hated, it's what happens when you're successful, we've always had it, you learn to ignore it.
Not hated at the moment though,,in fact not for a few years now. :D2 :D2 BUSBY.

It's not VAR that's at fault, it's the rule change that has caused the controversy. Players will soon be judged, and valued on their ability to hit a defenders arm with the ball.

I think you will find that we are still hated, which I love, hence the posts about all our fans come from out of Manchester, people can't accept that we still are one of the biggest teams in the world, and the richest, without big money backers from oil rich countries.

One for Scottish fans maybe

I noticed that. The rangers will have to watch though as there was more sectarian singing in that match tonight. They were already made to close a section of the stadium tonight, up in front of UEFA again for the previous leg of this tie and no doubt again for tonight.

I know.
To be honest it is scary stuff and I hope it all blows over.
I loved Poland last year but not even remotely as much as the Polish loved Pope JPII

I support the other half of Glasgow so this isn't from a mad Gers fan, although I'm 100% behind the ban for their singing I think UEFA are picking on the small insignificant team (sorry gers fans) . If they were really serious about it they would be banning some big clubs from all over Europe for their racist abuse towards players, I can't remember the game of the top of my head but it involved a Spanish team a couple of years ago when they made monkey chants and threw banana skins on to the pitch and what did UEFA do, nothing as it didn't want to upset one of the big boys or lose any money.

Sectarianism and racism doesn't belong in football or anywhere for that matter but if they want to rid the game of it then they need to have bans no matter who the club is.

Yeah I agree with pretty much all of that. The whole game is being moulded to suit the 'big' teams on and off the pitch.
