Football season is back!!!

Way to difficult do it week in week out. But bet you keep eyes peeled for results ?
Not that difficult, we combine our hobbies and camp at Lee valley and get the bus to the stadium.
If you can get a ticket that is, that's the difficult part atm.

Aberdeen season ticket holder here. Enjoyed a cracking night down in Burnley last year in the europa tie, great fun.

Had 5 consecutive seasons playing in Europa now and really trying to push for the group stages.

Away to Rijeka in Croatia tonight, I'll be watching on the box.
I saw Aberdeen play in rovanemini a few weeks ago were you there ? On way to nord kapp !

being an islington boy its the mighty arsenal for me.very much a lapsed supporter, ive only been to the new stadium once .
Not missed much I preferred Highbury with the police band playing at half time !

Yes I was I took the campervan and was in the site just across the river. Lovely place. Van didn't last the journey back to Tallinn though :(

It's in secure parking in Tallinn centre. I'm back home now but seem to have found a motorhome place over there to have a look at it on Monday so I've booked a flight back out on Sunday.

She's an old van so hope it's not going to be too pricey or else it isn't really worth fixing.

That guy with the flag was determined to get it up somewhere. It's a tad controversial amongst our support but that discussion isn't for this thread especially as I'm just off a ban :giggler:

The sun shone on Huddersfield last Monday until kick off and then....

We broke down this time last year in Lithuania. (Ours is 1992) They mend everything over in the Baltic countries. Went to watch third v fifth in top league whilst waiting. There were 12 spectators rising to 50 at half time when it was free to get in

Nice one. Always good to get a different venue ticked off no matter how scarce of supporters.

In other news we got beat 2-0 by Rijeka. Moment of madness to give away a pen then a nicely taken goal for their second. Asking a lot for the home leg but you never know.

Oh how I feel for the Newcastle fan, you signed Andy Carrol, now I know Steve Bruce has lost the plot. Andy is a really good footballer, but never plays more than a couple of games before injury, in fact he is injured now.

Perhaps he hurt his back digging Rod Stewart’s old garden.

I also have a season ticket for the West Ham womens team, I paid £25 for that, I got ripped off though because now a season ticket holder for mens games can get one for £15.

How did your teams get on today? I drove from Newquay to Macc as boardmasters festival was a no go. So decided go for it. Glad i did... 3-0 to Macc. Against The O's ?

I didn’t go today, but Wrexham were away at Dover; turned a 1-goal lead into a red card and 2-1 defeat through a 92nd minute own goal.

It’s tough following them at times!

Well the season starts again for the lower league clubs. I know this will make some people happy (myself) or others irate (the missis). But hey, ho. Just thought I would see the lie of the land of who supports who and how it came about.

I am a Macclesfield Town fan. As went to neighbouring clubs as a younger lad and it grew too expensive (Man u, Stoke, Port Vale) but watched Macc and wont look back. Fingers crossed we remain in league 2. ??

Well I missed a couple of predictions, it took 20 odd minutes for city to score, we were only one down at half time. But we finally lost 5-0. Like every season, give them 6 points and not bother playing.

Birmingham City Bluenose.. "Keep right on to the end of the road..."

Was at Hillsborough to see the Owls win 2-0. A bit like the curates egg - good in parts. Although in the end I think a score of 4-0 would have been a more accurate reflection of the game.

Only posted this week as ,unlike the lower league clubs, we only started today and are the only promoted team to get a point on opening day

Well done Sheffiled United FC,Yorkshire's Premier league team

It’s about to get tougher.
The mighty Shaymen are up next.
As is our custom we are top of the league in August. It’s the rest of the months we always find tough.

St Mirren v Aberdeen later today. Not sure if it's on RedTV but I'll be watching if it is.

But Wednesday are Yorkshire's Premier team. (y)

The dons got beat 1-0 in the peeing rain by St. Mirren. Really should have been beating that lot but perhaps a lot of players still reeling from Thursday or caught with their eye on the return leg this Thursday coming.

The ref did miss as blatant a handball as you could imagine in the box to be fair. That would have levelled it.
