Football season is back!!!

Well the season starts again for the lower league clubs. I know this will make some people happy (myself) or others irate (the missis). But hey, ho. Just thought I would see the lie of the land of who supports who and how it came about.

I am a Macclesfield Town fan. As went to neighbouring clubs as a younger lad and it grew too expensive (Man u, Stoke, Port Vale) but watched Macc and wont look back. Fingers crossed we remain in league 2. ??
WAWAW!?

Oh dear 2-3 flattered Rovers 2 goals in the last 5 min

It's not that I'm a pessimistic, but West ham don't kick off season until next week, but here is my prediction we will be 1-0 down after 15 minutes, 3-0 by half time, then it will be down to how many man city want to score. It happens most years, so why not this year. I have not seen them this season yet, but appears Pellegrini wants to attack so could be a entertaining season. You start a season with optimism, that you can get 40 points by seasons end a good cup run and that we beat a couple of the top teams.

WHAT ALREADY
DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN !!!!

The mighty Reds of Wrexham.

Fan owned and 3rd oldest club in the world - 1864.

I’ll be there today to watch us play Barrow. After 12 seasons in non-league, this is our season and we’re going back up!
Sheffield FC being the oldest. ;)

I'm a West Ham fan as well but not a season ticket holder. Every season you start out with Hope, but they manage to destroy it within a few weeks normally. Hope we start better than we did last year.

They're = They are...

Their = belonging to them...

There = a place or position...

Liverpool = second...

SIX = Times Liverpool have won the Champions League

I think this is my third 'Zero Interest' season .. not a fan of any team as such , but enjoyed watching a game of a Monday night, but just gave up . Have to say , along with a few other things on TV I have sacked off, I don't miss it at all.

Fair play to the fans who follow their local club through the lower leagues, a good friend of mine said that as Leicester fan, he enjoyed the games he went to more in League 1 that he did the season they won the Prem, just because of the places you got to go, and the passion of the local fans, without even a hint of trouble.

A sport that money has not been kind to , IMO.

Hope the old forecast for the weekend allows all the lower league games to go ahead. May even help us out as an advantageous wind may allow a fly away screamer from half way ??

Newcastle fan who lives down south, but father, as a fully paid member of the Long Benton Aggro Boys, dragged me up supporting them.
Havent been to a game for 3 years now but managed 1 or 2 games per season before that including the 700 mile return journey to St James.
Hoping for a top half finish and really looking forward to Almiron and Saint Maximin causing havoc down the wings. Dont know which one is more exciting. God knows what Joelinton is going to be like.
I obviously have no stress in my life so still follow them !

‘Come on you irons’ I start off with optimism every year and have done since I was knee high to Bobby Moore. Unfortunately, and like my dreams they fade and die.

Aberdeen season ticket holder here. Enjoyed a cracking night down in Burnley last year in the europa tie, great fun.

Had 5 consecutive seasons playing in Europa now and really trying to push for the group stages.

Away to Rijeka in Croatia tonight, I'll be watching on the box.

Will keep an eye on result. May even pop a pound on it ???

I'm a Tottenham season ticket holder. Can't wait for Saturday. I went last week to the inter milan friendly, but it just ain't the same.:clap:

What's your thought on your new left back? Potential is there with Tierney but a few question marks over his fitness although I'm sure the staff at Arsenal know what they are doing.

Oh how I feel for the Newcastle fan, you signed Andy Carrol, now I know Steve Bruce has lost the plot. Andy is a really good footballer, but never plays more than a couple of games before injury, in fact he is injured now.

Our office competition started today. You pick the order of the top 6 and the order of the bottom 3. You then bung in £5 and winner takes all.

My top 6

Liverpool
Man City
Man Utd
Spurs
Arsenal
Leicester City ( that raised a few eyebrows)

Bottom 3
Newcastle
Crystal Palace ( I thought Zaha would leave)
Norwich

I won it a few years ago, but that’s the only time in 26 attempts:rolleyes:
