The skies between Poland and the Black Sea seems to be full of tankers, I only see one Typhoon though. Wonder if he's shopping around to get the cheapest fuel

I wonder if that’s why UK gov announced the new sanctions yesterday morning but didn’t clarify the details until teatime - to allow BA etc to get planes & other assets out and prevent them being seized.

There’s also the consideration that announcing the details @teatime UK means it’s 3 hours into Vodka time in RU, adding a delay to possible counter sanctions…

I think they're probably keeping an eye on Southern Ukraine too, while getting as close as they can legally get to the Russian/Crimea border.

Line of sight for its sensors at 56,000ft seems to be > 280 miles.

Here's a mockup of those distances, obviously would be affected by sensor type, weather, geography, jamming etc

Looks like that south west flight might be returning to Kiev possibly evacuation of someone to or from Chernivtski near Romanian border

And this Ukrainian heli seems to be heading to Warsaw direction, suddenly appeared just inside Poland

This whole issue of Flights and able to watch I find fascinating, never seen this, however, can't understand why we as ordinary people are able to watch this and feel it will be stopped for security reasons. Regarding the whole Ukranian issue, I think that we as citizens are just guessing at what could happen, the details are secret as they should be, but, no doubt the leaders will have a combined answer and it will be down to the likes of ' kouensberg' to tell the world what Boris did wrong.

We only see what they want us to see and what they want the Russians to see. Rest assured, if they don’t want anyone to know they are there, you won’t see them.

I suspect there are numerous covert missions currently underway to assist the Ukrainians, quite rightly, we won’t be told and have no need to know.

Personally I just hope it ends ASAP.

Of course we won't see all the flights that are out there but you still get an idea of what's going on. Those refuelling tankers are refueling something.
