Really? Think laterally, just harvest all the odd socks that accumulate from the washing basket over the year and pop them over the glasses.. works for us with the advantage that if one of the missing socks turns up you can marry them up and pop them back in the sock draw.

Just recently purchased some lovely rose gold metal champagne flutes for the van. To go with the metal wine goblets.

I made a version of this from scrap stuff lying around with 4 slots for 4 glasses,. I used an old length of right angle plastic tile / plastering edging and some thin foam rubber sheet doubled up and double sided sticky taped it to the back of a cabinet. We then just use a tension rod to stop the glasses coming out of the slots. We used stemmed wine glasses in a row of clips which go round the stem. We have had the odd breakage but not in transit, usually clumsy washing up.
Jiffy bags often enclose a bubble wrap pouch that you can tear out and use to carry glasses and china mugs...and they are free!
