Drinking glasses

My glasses are kept inside trainer socks and then sit inside my mugs. No rattles or breakages!

We use Muggi holders for stemmed wine glasses, and the slatted strips Riverbank Annie mentioned for other glasses. Dirt cheap fruit juice glasses from Ikea have useful plastic dividers in the packing, which we keep to stop any rattles.

Michael bought some foam rubber from Dunelm and made these. No breakages so far.

For our Riedel stemless glasses we use the bubble wrap from the inside of used mail packets, just take the paper off and you have individual pockets!

We have glasses for beer, both pint and half pint and wrap them up in tea towels.
Also glass highball tumblers which are kept in the polystyrene packing they came in.
For wine we have smallish pewter goblets and also very large pewter type wine glasses which are kept in their original boxes with packing paper to stop them knocking against each other.

No, they screw on to the bottom of a cupboard.
There is a wee lip on the holder that the glass pushes over and holds it in place.

I crocheted two โ€˜cupโ€™ shapes for the glasses to sit in, then they fit into our mugs which get wrapped in a bit of โ€˜grip matโ€™ and wedged into the cupboard!
No rattles!

We have some of those, plus the pre-cut foam block for beer and spirits glasses, espresso cups, etc. works really well and no rattles.
