Well our little Parson/Jack Russell (4) comes everywhere with us.
Our Border Terrier (17) stops at our daughters a lot , when we go away in the MH.
Unfortunately like a lot of old men, he doesn’t walk far anymore and farts a lot😂 but we still love him.

We answered no but, until about four years ago, we had two most of the time.

confused by the question , is it 'Yes' I don't have a dog or 'No' I don't have a dog
You’re not alone; I didn’t want to vote for the risk of corrupting the data.
unless the vote for yes I have a dog or no I don’t have a dog is confusing some people as @Two on Tour suggests
I think the double negative in the question/answer may well be confusing folks.
You ask who doesn’t have a dog? To that you’d say yes I don’t .
Or no , I do 😂

That was my interpretation too but I didn’t want to go against the flow.😎

We don't have a Dog, we are not anti Dog but they can restrict what you wish to do, add to that the vets Bill and food bill an you could have a new MoHo.

There seems to be more people with more than one Dog....2-3 seem pretty common

Then there are those (not MHF members of course) that cannot control the pooch letting it off a leash I had one chasing me on the bike as I looked behind me all I could see was a pair of snapping teeth, so I literally just rode off the thing must have followed me for a mile and half before giving up, the funny part was my mate who was behind me and the dog stopped to see the owner frantically chasing after it who was exhausted and put a lead on the dog when she caught up with it..... If I was a Child I reckon the dog would have taken a Bite out of my leg.

In August my wife was standing at the edge of a Path looking out over the valley when a dog jumped up and tried to nip her....totally unprovoked the owner pulled the dog away and just walked off ! Other walkers remonstrated at the owner.

Then there are the long leads some owners do not realise that when extended a dog is classed as not being kept under control.

That's my mini rant other than that I have no objections to Dogs and owners who love each other kept under control etc....
The owner should of took the bike off him!

Never had a dog, never had an interest, I've had girlfriends with dogs and some of my family have them but not for me.
I'm not anti dog but im happy as long as its yours 👍

Just smiffy

I'm very concerned I might have to change my vote (and there's no way to withdraw/spoil my ballot paper, it seems) 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't want to vote the wrong way (we all know the consequences of unclear referenda).

Can you please clarify the question/anticipated answer?
Do we need a recount??

Doubt I'll sleep 'till resolved... 😲

Really
Source?
Yes really, you as dog owner have a responsibility to control your dog, if it’s running around on a long lead it is not in control you have to try and retract the dog and until it is close by it is not being controlled……Discuss to your herts content but there is many a time in a foot path where loose long leads cause difficulties for pedestrians and cyclists.

It is someone to talk to & they make sensible suggestions .(y) & stops you committing violent acts as you have to care for them.(y)

Yes it is classed as 'out of control' as in a lead ,short, is to control the animal & extendable leads do the complete opposite except for trained dogs.
Here in Spain the law is actually a maximum of 2m for a lead "when measured from your shoulder to the dogs collar" So 1m or around 3' is maximum legal lead length-
Someone needs to tell all the pet shops and Chinese shops in Spain lol .. I struggle to get short leads they are all ridiculously long.. I've got knots tied in all of mine

I’m surprised that the No’s have it at the moment, I thought it would be more close… unless the vote for yes I have a dog or no I don’t have a dog is confusing some people as Two on Tour suggests ….🤔

And Janine is developing a complex….😄😉
The way you worded your question it's yes for I don't have a dog or no for I do have a dog so I voted no as I have three dogs! 😄
So who doesn’t have a dog, this is not about who likes them or not just who doesn’t have one, are we the minority…?
There's lies, damned lies and statistics... I think your statistics will drop into that quite nicely!!! 😆

I concur, my nephew received severe friction burns from one of them.

I have 2 dogs, both big German Shepard crosses, always on a lead unless in an enclosed field away from others.

I do however have to say, I have never met entitlement like some dog owners. The amount of out of control off lead dogs never ceases to amaze me. Had to boot a small poodle/terrier type thing a few weeks back that was off lead and ran over biting my 2. Thankfully it was me that booted it and not the dogs that grabbed it, it wouldn’t have ended well.

If you are one of those owners that think dogs on lead are the problem when they have a go at your off lead dog, then I am afraid you are the problem. 😆

In short, I have dogs, I love them, other peoples dogs, nah. 😂

Not necessarily, our Bella is the friendliest dog you could ever wish to meet, she loves humans and dogs. The other day whilst on a completely large clear beach she was having a run round when a couple came on with their JR type dog on an expanding lead, they walked close by us so Bella went to say hello but kept about a foot or more away as she realised that the dog didn't like other dogs, it was barking and bitey, so she turned to come back. The English owners made no attempt to stop their dog doing it (just smiling and saying he's always like that).

Unfortunately they can't have had control of the lead properly as it was able to move towards Bella as she walked away and bit her bum. She was in a right state, screaming in fear and took a while to calm down. It really frightened her and although there was no puncture or blood it must've hurt as she was sore for a few days.

So Bella wasn't on a lead and walked away but trouble followed her because the owners didn't control their dog on its lead. The dog owners shouldn't have walked near us in the first place and/or his dog should have been muzzled - they knew full well what it was like!

You may have liked my post, but I am still wide awake, waiting for the necessary clarification...

No dog, never had one, tend to avoid them as I was pounced on by a big dog while at the beach when I was a child so always make me nervous.
We have started to notice that that the smaller the camper van the more and/or bigger the dogs are. Most seen in one so far was 7 (medium sized not small) This was on a THS so not a dog walker. At New year a couple near us in a small camper had 4 French bulldog type dogs none of which we ever saw on a lead.

I don’t have a dog, not had one since my kids were young.
I am a dog lover,but wouldn’t have one while I have a motorhome,as they are to restrictive.
It’s nice to be able to just do/visit places without worrying what to do with the dog.

That’s one handsome Dog you have and must be a real pleasure to have

Why if they are well trained dogs?

To me a dog should be able to be off a lead, be able so socialise with other dogs, humans, and other animals with out issue, and be under control. That is what a trained dog is.

Never owned a dog, my wife is terrified of them. I sometimes get the urge to have one but it it's never happened. My daughter has some so I could always borrow one I suppose.
