Dogs…

So many posts about dogs lately it seems every dog has a dog…

So who doesn’t have a dog, this is not about who likes them or not just who doesn’t have one, are we the minority…?

We don't have a Dog, we are not anti Dog but they can restrict what you wish to do, add to that the vets Bill and food bill an you could have a new MoHo.

There seems to be more people with more than one Dog....2-3 seem pretty common

Then there are those (not MHF members of course) that cannot control the pooch letting it off a leash I had one chasing me on the bike as I looked behind me all I could see was a pair of snapping teeth, so I literally just rode off the thing must have followed me for a mile and half before giving up, the funny part was my mate who was behind me and the dog stopped to see the owner frantically chasing after it who was exhausted and put a lead on the dog when she caught up with it..... If I was a Child I reckon the dog would have taken a Bite out of my leg.

In August my wife was standing at the edge of a Path looking out over the valley when a dog jumped up and tried to nip her....totally unprovoked the owner pulled the dog away and just walked off ! Other walkers remonstrated at the owner.

Then there are the long leads some owners do not realise that when extended a dog is classed as not being kept under control.

That's my mini rant other than that I have no objections to Dogs and owners who love each other kept under control etc....

Yes it is classed as 'out of control' as in a lead ,short, is to control the animal & extendable leads do the complete opposite except for trained dogs.
Here in Spain the law is actually a maximum of 2m for a lead "when measured from your shoulder to the dogs collar" So 1m or around 3' is maximum legal lead length-
