Only 35 for us, it took the first 30 to train him 
I married in 1967 also but was 21 mr bride was 18 and l still refer to her as my bride and often remind her that when l look at her l see the 18 year old l married.

Mind you after our accident on Friday on the A30, we’re both lucky to be here as our poor car is now dead
. Sad as Duncan spent Boxing Day cleaning it but there was some good news, we had planned to stop at Exeter to get some fuel and top up, so there wasn’t a lot in the tank when this happened!One has to look for a silver lining times like this

This taking dogs to Maroc nonsense is a faff ... over 2 hours at the vet and now I'm at the port authority and no appointment has been made by vet so I've to hang around here. No easy parking at vet or at the port so my van is precariously parked with hazards on and I'm hanging around waiting.
Cost me €50 this time too so a little more expensive than last time.
And no one looks at the bleedin thing after all that

Had a wee girl smack straight into one of my parked vans just before Christmas there, Best about it was turns out she's an optician from a nearby Specsavers!!... I'm sure you can imagine the stick and banter she got when I heard that! Feck! You Should of gone to Specsavers" "You'll need to book yourself in for a fecking eye test love"... "Your not a great advertisement for Specsavers when you can't see a 7m 3.5 ton VW Crafter parked at the side of the road"! Have to say she took all the banter well

Did the police attend?, maybe not if no one was injured, hope the photographs will be enough to prove fault and the van can be repaired/replaced shortly, or Is the van now totalled also?

Yea police were called and were trying to push me to press charges against her for wreckless or dangerous driving or something but I wouldn't do that,
Yea she admitted liability straight away and I got a boy I know fixes motors to look at hers, that van I’ll leave to the insurance assessors they can either get it sorted or send me a cheque to the value of it, I'll not care as I'll be in Morocco and the lads that work with me will be in Germany deep cleaning cruise ships so we'll not need any vans, I have a couple more vans anyway if we're stuck, so it's no problem

This time it is but if she was distrated on phone whatever, whos to say what it might be next time.
Do you think that what happened isn’t drastic enough for her to take stock (if she was engaging in an activity that she ought not have been)? I can’t imagine that she’d need a prosecution to give her that wake up call.

bigtwin from years of experiance people dont learn from mistakes, some do but the serial offenders just dont.
I do hope she alters her ways if she was not paying attention but and heres the bit, how does anyone not see a great big square infront of them if they are remotely driving as they should be.
Unless she had a sneezing fit just at the wrong moment!!

My money is on she pulled out to overtake saw something coming the other way and panicked to be fair it doesn't look the best road for vehicles to be stopped on .

Busy day today.. vet , pif, then up to meet Just smiffy , done lidl mercadonna and carrefour , vans stocked up . Picked up 70kg of dog food for the mutts as I wasn't keen on the stuff from Maroc last time so made sure I've enough of the stuff my dogs eat.
Will get our tickets tomorrow.
Few interesting wagons parked round here ....seen 3 French setups with A framed toads , so not as illegal in France and Spain as some would suggest.

I'm not planning to feed every stray I encounter on this trip. There are so many and its just hard to see and deal with. If there's the odd one comes to the van etc then of course I'll give it some food .
But I think last time in Morocco I must have fed over 500 dogs all in over the 2 months.

We're on the Island of La Palma, Canary Islands...
We spotted this doing 'Tours' near the new lava fields on the west of the Island. Not particular pleasing to the eye, but I got the feeling it hadn't always been a tour bus?
Very squat with big wheels. Couldn't see a makers marque or any other identifying feature.
Anyone decipher ages from Spanish reg plates?
Anyone recognize the shape?
Somehow looks French to me??
