Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

It was light hearted.
I love the uk and all the weather it can throw at me, being outside and wet is my job but come next November I’ll be lucky enough to spend a month in SA, Christmas in the UK and I’m out of here on the 28th looking for dryer weather.
I also love UK winter, and wouldn't want to be away from England for more than month any time of the year, why anyone needs to go to all the trouble to go to somewhere they don't like just to stay out of England for three months at a time defeats me .

Last winter was our first one away for 6 weeks and I must say it's great to miss the worst of the British winter. Southern Spain you get 2.5 hours later light and mostly warmer with more sun so when we got home we were getting into spring. This year it's not been so warm but still nice to be out in t shirt and shorts and go on a beach or sit in the sun with a beerio

January does drag on .....and on
Nearly done ,and the 6 nations for me .signifies the beginning of the end of Winter.
Left work the other night and was light when I left at 4.45 👏👏
Light here at 7.30 lol

Yes, of course, in your case it is justified. I still would not go to Morocco though, there must be other options, no?

With a MH the only other real option is Turkey, now that Romania and Bulgaria have joined Schengen. Oh, and Cyprus, but it will probably not be long before they join too and the only way to get there on a car ferry is from Turkey.

Of course Barriesimpson, unless you are a Citizen of Spain rather than just a Resident, you are also bound be 90 days in 100 in Schengen outside Spain. You can ignore it in practice as there are no border checks yet, but they are coming in Germany and other countries.

I'm still not sure how that works to be honest. I am a permanent resident in Spain and married to a Spanish national, but have retained my British nationality. So the way I see it is I can be in any European country for as long as I wish, and the UK also seeing as I am British, and my wife can also stay with me. Am I wrong in assuming this?

The Spanish aren't in favour of dual citizenships, are they?

I’ll see your Cairo and raise you Lagos; the Nigerian one!

Ebute Metta once experienced never forgotten.
Still I think Morocco has more shitholes overall.
Not even if you were able to cuddle donkeys? 😄
No many donkeys in UK park ups

If you have a permanent home/house you can hide yourself away as snug as a bug and not have to go out much but living in a motorhome as Tam does is a completely different thing.

We do 2 months abroad over winter and instead of having to bare the cold weather and short days we can usually go for walks along the beach with the pooches, paddle, sit out in the sunshine etc, in my case it helps with my CFS and arthritis too.

Well I’m disappointed. I thought Lenny HB could of put a Schematic Diagram explaining all the connections of pipes & cables in that Germans van, as I’m sure he’d be able to somehow understand how it all works 🤔 😂

It's bizarre, modern washing machines just need a cold water feed, maybe there is a full on laundrette inside the van 😂😂

You can park a motorhome at the donkey sanctuary in Sidmouth. Can't stay overnight though, I asked and they quoted insurance reasons, even though we brought a tray of carrots and a bulk pack of polos which apparently they ❤️.

I recon he's already doing it, the batteries and inverter would run an iron and trouser press for hours 🤣😂
I suspect he's also doing haberdashery and furnishing work too as I'm sure I've glimpsed his sewing machine in a locker! 😄
