Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

Whitewall tyres. Nice.
I know ... just stupid things they do .. I mean 4 old blankets is all they need and reuse them .

But out of all the vans I've seen done over the last few days I have the least orange peel ... a few Germans have been over looking at it

So they're not bothered about all the sand and dust blowing on to it?
I'm thinking it's like a oven baked respray, with wind to remove dust and sun to bake it apparently it stops any runs. :Eeek:

Hope all is well Tam, we sprayed vans pick up trucks and all plant hire years ago, 😉 once they were sign written they looked smart. 😆 Bob.

So, with the recent photos, I didnt appreciate that they don’t bag (mask) off the whole rest of the painted surfaces, or the wheels/tyres? I also thought from your previous comments that they painted in the sheds and that said sheds they would at least wet the floor to keep the dust down? That’s just an open air bit of spraying… how do they expect to achieve a paint finish with dust kicking up and not able to spray the paint at the correct angles to provide proper surface coverage as they would get it all over the rest of the vehicle paint if they did?

Keeping everything crossed here for you! 🙏🤞😉

They always seem keen to getvthem outbof the booths asap, not that the booths are that good.
I'm hoping it doesn't go too cold tonight and bloom.

Finger still crossed for you Tam, are you reasonably happy?

Looks a fair job, only you can see up close but that looks a lot of work for £350.00, so long as it has covered well there is plenty of post paint improvement, I had a bare metal respray on my Montreal and it was very orange peel 😱 but he assured me all was 👌. This is how it turned out

It's never been in the booth unfortunately...they did it outside . Luckily it wasn't windy but the bonnet and front does feel a bit rough so they will need to polish it up. There's also a few bits here and there they will need to blow In or touch up as their masking isn't great.

Bit of overspray too but fortunately the rest of the van had a good polish and wax before and it hadn't been washed so it wipes off.

Overall its good .... its not perfect by any stretch but better than others that's been done and it hasn't been polished or anything yet. The colour looks a good match so far , its hard to tell on the back as it's filthy but the sides and the door etc match a lot better than they did.

I like the colour change to the skirts imo it makes the van look younger.
I think so too and I actually prefer my graphics to this one
