Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

This site I’m on now Tam, I met a couple in an old hymer that their having work done on there suspension that are friends with the girl in the horse box you mentioned….

Why don't you give the lad doing the prep etc a bung and telling you want perfect job
I'd get the same result as their idea of perfect is equivalent to 1980's UK cheap respray perfect lol.

I've accepted the fact it will never be perfect. As long as its presentable and better than it was before then thats the best I'm going to get.

A few progress pics .

Can't see much wrong with that so far Tam, looks fine to me
Anything looks good in primer. Its the gloss that shows every small imperfection. I'm surprised they're using grey primer to be honest. But that's them for tonight . Bloody cold here just now.

Still think your big girl will come out looking good
I really hope so 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Front looks good the one colour even if it's primer lol.

To be honest even the lighter grey looks nicer.

I think the dark grey/blue suits Flairy silver van but I think it was too much of a contrast on the white .

No but there's a few artists around here .. the Concorde guy has someone doing one on his trailer .

I like them but I think they're very personal and would affect a resale for sure .

I’ve seen some right crap paintings and some really good ones… some look good on a van and some don’t, no matter how good they are… it’s got to be in the right place on a van and on the right van… they are marmite..🤔

Yes definitely. Thats why I have one on a camping table instead. I saw a motorhome in Spain that had about 20 of these paintings on it ...some on the windows . Hell never sell that camper

That artwork painting obviously isn't mine .. but very well done I thought . Better than many I've seen
Tam,please please don’t be swayed into doing it my heart won’t take it 😉 l’m already stressing about the outcome after all the prep work. Fingers fully crossed.

Trust me I've no interest in putting artwork on this van . I haven't even put my usual flag decals on the rear of the countries I've visited. I was in two minds when I put my ecosse and Scotland stickers on too. I don't want to cheapen my camper.

In some ways moby was more fun as it was an older cheaper van.. you could mess with it and not care . I envy the folk with the old beat up self builds for thst comfort . As the girl with this big horsebox said hers couldn't get any worse . Although she is planning to have it painted turquoise and burgundy. But I doubt I'll see it as she will be here a long time

Yeah I’d like to personalise my van but I’m not brave enough to… maybe when it’s older if I survive…😆

Give it 5 minutes and we'll all be admiring blue and grey van man for his rock & roll rebel spirit
