Do I cancel my new Swift van?

I should like to point out that the word "feck " is not a swear word

It's Irish/Scots and actually means look out

It does not mean the same as the other word that rhymes with muck

That's why I use feck quite a bit ?

This should clear up klatuus statement :pView attachment 332023

You've ruined my admiration for Mrs Brown.

I had a meeting with my wife today, we decided that we need to pencil in another 3 meetings before reaching a consensus
But, I have looked in my diary and it is full until April 1st next year, damn, we will have to postpone the decision until then.
I will let you know the outcome, in due course, bloody diaries.

I am really sorry to admit, rude as it might be, that, if I am truly honest with everyone, I really don't care whether Mr 596 and his wife buy the wretched van or not...

Also, I am disappointed that I haven't been able to get any of my questions answered, despite having asked nicely!

JJ

You had to ask
Just biding my time and waiting for the opportunity to try and get a straight forward answer?
Will check back in tomorrow to see if it's happened ??

Extreme provocation - trying the patience of a saint ???
Agreed Stephen. Extreme provocation should attract appropriate punishment. What about it Jim ?

I've read all day, and commented and don't feel remotely provacated. Read it and move on, come back or don't come back, it's been good entertainment.

Far be it from me to use the number '596' and the phrase 'drama queen' in the same sentence but.. Jeez.. ?

Not sure why people think it's a wind up, but I do think some of the objections are over fussy.
He said he has OCD. My DIL is the same - ruddy nightmare. Unable to make choices. Eating out is to be avoided, as is whether to take an umbrella with her or which car window(s) is/are opened. Table setting must always be EXACTLY the same whatever or wherever the meal is eaten............

I have a friend with OCD

It means he can't leave for work without checking he's locked the front door about 15 times , or opens and closes the oven door 3 or 4 times before turning it on.
Will flush the toilet walk downstairs ask himself if he flushed it and go back up and do it again etc.

He's medically diagnosed with OCD.

I'm actually not seeing the connection with what the op has said.

OCD isn't- picky or fussy etc that's something completely different.

I like things to be RIGHT , I'm fussy and some things will annoy me till I have to fix them

But that's not OCD

This thread is like listening to Professor Stanley Unwin talk. A huge amount of utterly meaningless words and no discernible end to the story. I fear we have all been duped by a comedian.
Unwin had the answer to everything - unfortunately nobody took heed of his mispronuntiatoins .....

By 'eck, this is good brandy.

?

I think he was Chris and then changed to 595... which I thought was funny ?

Just musing; suppose you worked in the marketing department of a MH manufacturer? What a good way to trash a competitor on a forum of xdx thousands, where no real checks are performed on the provenance of the member as long as he has £15 and then an ongoing insoluble debate continues to masticate the same poor construction issues ad infinitum with the occasional twist of the knife by the OP. Maybe I should write novels!
As an addendum I have had to provide several items of documentary proof on some German forums which delivered a certified status, illuminated on the posts like Funs Life Member, maybe to go some way in defeating my perhaps fictional analysis outlined above by members reading the posts.

I really can’t understand why everyone is getting so cranky!

You do your research and find a van that fits the bill.

When you go to look at one in a dealership, it has obvious defects which the salesman insists will not be present on your van when it is delivered.

Your van does have the same defects and you get twitchy about parting with a sizeable chunk of money.

Am I missing something?

It's quite possible I suppose but Jim usually has these type of things well covered. He's obviously got access to the email/IP addresses etc so should get a good idea if people are actually who they say they are.

Like I mentioned before, on a few of the football forums I am on if a particular person gets a bit sulky and maybe makes an arse of themselves on the forum it seems a few decide to come back with a new user name and try again pretending to be someone else. Of course the admin on those sites is non-existent which makes it pretty easy to do.

One thing you are missing is the fact they still haven't seen their own van, the photos his wife took are of the one he has already seen
