BigGandher Re: the right hand side hand brake. Until I got used to it, wearing loose legged shorts, I often ended up handing off it until I hauled myself back in the cab.
I’ve had two cars with an electric handbrake and they’ve been fineI managed to rip my shorts descending from the cab ...
Not sure that I would trust an electric parking brake on a new Ducato. Our car has one and 2 years of use still leaves me uncertain that it will hold on a slope.
That handbrake on the right plus an emergency sewing kit for my shorts is my preferred option ...
I have got use to it now ! Just need to order a new seat casing that the handbrake sits in totally cracked all over haha 3 day old van ! .. no problems swivelling the chair .BigGandher Re: the right hand side hand brake. Hi Chris - we had last night at Lowdhams. We have seen our van and it’s lovely!! Hope you have an amazing time in France.Good news Nedge. I'll keep an eye out for it arriving on a low loader.
My youngest son decided to sell his Jag and opted to rent/hire a VW Tourareg. That was last August. His original delivery was November, then March this year, Now he is being told September at the earliest. Seems there are not enough chips and other components available.
Yup I am awaiting a similar phonecall as you and many others have had! It's got to be an auto so it's got to be Fiat.Just had an update from our dealer
A class Rapido on a Fiat base ordered October 2021 for March/April 2022, then delayed to October 2022, now looking like January 2023.
Fiat still in a mess and seem to be suffering more than others so much so that many converters are moving to manual Peugeot/Renault
The only positive is that when we have finished with them, they should be sought afterYup I am awaiting a similar phonecall as you and many others have had! It's got to be an auto so it's got to be Fiat.
The way it's looking they are going to be better investment than bricks and mortar!The only positive is that when we have finished with them, they should be sought after
Good info, but that's a shame for you. Clearly Stellantis are in a bit of a shambles and would appear have underestimated the strength UK market!dash300 even more so now that the Living Van you are waiting is no longer in the 2023 collection. However after being told by Highbridge that the H3 Ducato would no longer be made in RHD, Stellantis have now done a U-turn. Too late for the model I want, the Family Van, as Highbridge were made aware of this too late and did not order any.
Hi dash300 Ive seen a thread on here that included a photo of a van the same as mine but lesser spec and it is marked up at £79,999. What a big increase if correct!
Did you catch my updated review?
I have now Roy thanks for the reminder, been away on the boat for the last 10 days. A very informative read and information to take on board. My spec van if ordered today would be 15k more than ordered August 2021!!!!!!!!!!Hi dash300 Ive seen a thread on here that included a photo of a van the same as mine but lesser spec and it is marked up at £79,999. You won't get your van with a 160ps engine, they stopped producing it back in late July. There will only be the 120ps (light), 140ps or 180ps available.The price is fixed at time of order/deposit paid and I have that on my invoice. Highbridge still have on their website Rapido Dreamer Living Vans such as mine advertised as 'arriving shortly' ho! ho! with substantially lower spec at 10k more than I have on my invoice. If I add my spec. of heavy chassis, auto,160hp plus all the upgrades it works out not far short of 15K more. I am sure they would like me to pull out of the deal and return my deposit as they would sell my vehicle on with a substantially increased profit! I will ping them tomorrow to confirm the invoice price again as a belt and braces confirmation. Looks like we will be keeping the boat a little longer!
I thought the 120 had been discontinued as well just the 140 & 180 now.You won't get your van with a 160ps engine, they stopped producing it back in late July. There will only be the 120ps (light), 140ps or 180ps available.

What's the tenth digit of the VIN, is it an N or a P?Well at last some good news. Email from Highbridge this morning that the van is indeed due to arrive around 29th Oct and they have supplied me with the Chassis No! So 14 months from deposit to delivery. Price increase about 14K too with my spec.
It's Fiat Chassis not a VW.What's the tenth digit of the VIN, is it an N or a P?
N = 2022 model
P = 2023 model
My MAN TGE which was ordered also August 2021 is a 2023 model (I've also got the VIN) and due about the 18th of this month.
Doesn't matter, international VINs should carry the same date coding system, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_identification_numberIt's Fiat Chassis not a VW.
Neither N nor P feature anywhere in the number!Doesn't matter, international VINs should carry the same date coding system, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_identification_number
The dealer has told me twice they are honouring existing orders for 160bhp engines.I paid a deposit on a pre order August 2021. Any more good news to share!
