Delivery delays

Fingers crossed that you are ‘price protected’. 👍

Our Adria MoHo, timings and order details are almost an exact mirror of yours and we took delivery at the originally agreed price on 1st December despite interim increases.

Thanks, that's encouraging. If they indeed are holding the line, and the dealer is honest, I'll have a good deal of equity built in upon delivery.

Well finally! I just received confirmation that our Adria Compact Supreme has been produced and is currently on its way to the German dealership. The last update I received was that it was scheduled for week 50 production, but unless they built and shipped it in a couple of days, Adria must be running ahead of schedule. That's all the information I have because my contact there, probably the only English speaker, is home with Covid-19. I'm hoping that it arrives as ordered. It was a dealer order placed on 13/8/21 and we contracted it, with upgrades added, in mid October of 2021. I was not given a guaranteed price but I have been told several times that Adria intended to honor prices on vehicles originally scheduled for production prior to March 2022. Ours was slotted for 01/22 so fingers crossed. A silver lining is the current EUR to USD exchange rate as I will be converting from USD. So, even if I have to eat a price increase that should soften the blow. I'll post more details once my guy gets back on his feet.
The delay will be worth it as you will have all the upgrades you ordered as the covid shortage of components have now been overcome. My Rapido PVC ordered 8/2021 arrived 12/2022 fully specified as ordered at the 2021 price contracted.
£15k less than the equivalent is currently being advertised. (y)

If things get serious PM me and I can forward some information that might confirm the ‘price protection’ pledge from Adria. (y)

BTW. Currency exchange advantages aside, if the price is held you are currently up to the equivalent of £20k or 28% in front of the game at the point of delivery. That’s a fair few years depreciation taken care of, not even thinking about the current stupid s/h market values!

That's nice of you to offer. Hopefully there will be no need, but if there is I'll take you up on it.

All is not well in the logistics arm of Stellantis UK.

Given that they intend to reduce the number of dealers (including commercial, as I understand it), I imagine there are lots of very concerned people.

That stinks, someone should report Stellantis to the EU commission, it’s known as ‘Highway robbery’ in this country. Stellantis in the first report do not even give an answer to the allegations ! 👿

No updates on my situation (check signature) but a few words about this whole thing. A few weeks ago I called another Hymer dealer to ask what would be the ETA if someone placed an order for the same thing we're waiting for. No ETA whatsoever, not surprisingly. But today I got a call from yet another dealer about an Euramobil and what of a call was that.

Naturally I've been looking around for something that could be available right now - or at least with a confirmed date in very near future - and ended up emailing a dealer about one Euramobil PVC they have available. One of the key specs I'm looking for is insulated and heated waste water thank, and especially one that is completely boxed and heater by a Truma heat duct. That's because we travel in winter too, and we do mostly wild camping so an 230 volt electric heating doesn't do. That Euramobil didn't have that so that was it for me, but as the 'conversation' was only me asking questions in one email and him replying that, I didn't bother to reply any more. Today he then called and I told him about this and that I haven't looked any more after that came obvious. Then it started. "It can be insulated, it has a heater RIGHT at the valve, all PVC's have waist water underneath and freezing is a possibility" and jada jada jada. Told him that I don't want that, I want what I want and I have one on order and I will wait for it. At this point I began to get a bit frustrated and we almost ended the call in a decent manner. Then he wanted to go back to the PVC I've ordered. He was certain that it will never arrive as it hasn't yet arrived, many orders have been cancelled, am I certain the deal is still valid, I should contact the dealer and it is not coming and and and. Told him that I've contacted the dealer just two months prior and I've been having emails with 'no updates'-updates etc etc. Then he reminded me that they sell over 200 units per year and he knows Ducato's aren't coming and blah blah blah my car ain't coming jada jada. At this point I began to be a bit pissed and asked him if he means that Ducato's are not produced any more ever, and Hymer just for fun just announced the new Grand Canyon but they will never make them etc. After that we quickly but politely ended the conversation.

What a jerk. One of my colleagues has the habbit of occasionally 'shaming' our competitors and other related instances to our customers and every time I feel ashamed, and now I know exactly what the customer may think. Yes, if you know something for a fact (??) you can give a strong but gentle hint, but if you don't know how to do that smoothly then don't do it make yourself look like an a**.
