Used my superdrug(3 network) from 31st oct 2020 until 7th march 2021 ,in Spain and worked no problem with firestick. I watched lots of live football ,movies and netflix with only an occasional bit of buffering. Dont know if rules of use have changed this year though?

Not really. You can get 30Gb for £10 from Smarty If you follow that link both you and I will get a free month plus another £10 credit. They are on a monthly contract like Giff Gaff so no long term commitment.

Wrong ! I have just re-checked with their online chat service and they confirmed at present I would get unlimited roaming for my visit to Spain Jan - April 2022. I would like to see where it states in the TOC that E.U. roaming is limited to 2 weeks!

Thanks for highlighting this again, I had been considering this but hadn’t got round to it.
I signed up today after having a long online chat with Abigail who assured me there were no restrictions on usage in Zone 1 of Europe which suits my needs, you can pause the monthly renewal for 6 mths but beyond that the account is shut down.

Have to admit i don't understand any of this. If the banks didn't insist i have a "mobile" number i wouldn't have a mobile................or maybe i would to take pictures and to tell the time as i don't wear a watch.

Just got an email back from Superdrug……no Fair Use Policy at the moment, but will notify customers should that change……….so £20 flexible contract gives you unlimited data abroad.

Looks like they may be getting a new customer on our return to the UK.

When roaming in the EU, you use your Superdrug Mobile plan as normal, everything works like at home. Data comes out of your monthly allowance or data add-ons.



Calls and texts are unlimited to the UK, and other Roaming Band 1 countries. You need a cash add-on to make calls and texts from EU countries to the rest of the world.



We do not currently have a fair use policy, but if this changes we will update our customers.

Now that’s an interesting question. They said there is unlimited data but they didn’t (well I didn’t ask) say have long you can use it abroad. So there could be unlimited data but for a limited period maybe?

Worth clearing up the point.

Its most likely down to staff competence. I was initially told if you use too much data whilst roaming in the E.U. you will be capped, so I asked at what level would I be capped at! The agent could not specify a limit so I asked how do customers know when they are near this limit. No answer ! The agent was just digging a hole for herself/himself and unable to produce anything from the TOC to this effect. A personal judgement on how the unlimited allowance is used in the E.U. I think and not keeping to the official script. I suspect this is what you fell foul of! I would not complain though and rub them up the wrong way. Just check again before travelling and go for it !

Also get £20 of Superdrug points when you take out the contract which makes the first month free.

Just checked mine it only shows usage for the first day.
