I'm sure most of you have been there, bought your motorhome then had to wait to picking it up. I put the deposit down in October and the dealer told me it will be registered on the 1st of march. So the countdown is 8 weeks today, anyone else in the same boat can join in.
Mickey.

We quite fancy Snowdonia as well. So many places, so little time :wasntme:

I'm hoping it won't be my first trip away, but I've just booked a few nights at Crystal Palace, to visit my eldest before heading down to Vanbitz in Taunton for an alarm and non start system.

I had to provide a registration number for the booking, which I haven't got yet. Fortunately it accepted "To Be Confirmed April 12th" as a private plate TBC1204.

We didn't supply our reg number and they didn't ask for it so, presumably, just got it off the vehicle when they started the job. It's amazing how many people on here have been or are going to Vanbitz.

Apologies, I was referring to the club booking for Crystal Palace.

Going over to France on Monday, pick up the van in Belgium on Tuesday and will get home late Tuesday, will have to sleep in the van on the drive Tuesday night as no theft insurance until alarm fitted.
Hopefully will get it registered within 2-3 weeks then probably have a couple of days on a friend farm. After that not sure France, Spain or Portugal for a couple of months. Got fit the solar panels, stereo, TV, sat dish, reversing cameras, third battery, inverter etc.

Edit: Will be Putting my plate on it M100 LHB

When I was getting a quote from Comfort earlier in the week, they asked if the van would be alarmed. I explained that it was going down to Vanbitz a couple of weeks after getting it and they stated that I got 30 days in which to fit an alarm.
Might have had something to do with having a Tracker fitted, as well as the OEM immobiliser.

I won't do it before I get my insurance tomorrow (don't want to jinx it!) but I found some quite eye opening things during my search for insurance that might interest you, and I'll share over the weekend ;)

I'm going to view a benimar294 on Sunday, fingers crossed this time. Good luck with your new vans.

Mickey.
Just looked at a Benimar 294 on Marquis site, nice looking van but not much payload at 260kgo_O

I'd start making lists if I were you, 'cos as soon as they give you a collection date your brain will go mushy. Mine has! :roflmto:

No list required we already have everything stored in the garage awaiting its arrival.:D

Ah, but then there's payments, insurance, last minute additional options, champagne to chill, collection arrangements, first trip plans ... ;)

Pretty much the same, except mine's in the loft.

Putting a list together is still a good idea though, so I've done one for absolute essentials, if I forget anything else, I'll wing it.

1. Wallet
2. Dog
3. Erm.... ? .... 3. Mmm.... ? ....

No, that's it :D

I thought we traveled light, emptying out the van, dining room is nearly full, piles of stuff in the garage and now started filling up one of the bedrooms. Surprising how much space all the kitchen stuff takes and the bedding when it's not spread out on the beds.

I got my VIN number yesterday, not one of the ones effected by the camshaft problem.

First weekend trip is all arranged with a trip to vanbitz and also our 2 week trip to Germany in July has been methodically planned. The other stuff are just secondary issues that can wait(y)
