If you know a member you can go on their card for about £18I think Costco are elitist looked up their membership criteria and my profession isn’t good enough for them. A very annoying as there’s one about two miles away!!!

They do checkWhat is your profession?
I don't think they check
I don't recall having my employment checked - but it might have changed I supposeThey do check
I've been a trade member for more than 20 years, I had to take in a vat registration document and a cheque book.I don't recall having my employment checked - but it might have changed I suppose
They do accept credit cards, use mine there all the time.Ah, in that case ill likely not bother :-/ I tend to use credit cards a lot and then pay them off before the interest.
well done we bought a" few things" when we got to the checkout the bill was £172 we did buy things we will use and at good prices but they come in bulk, we have enough washing tabs for at least 6 months the same with toilet rolls. I joined for the fuel which is 19p a litre under to lowest price anywhere else locally, and for us Costco is about a mile away.Well, me and the mrs went and got our cards yesterday and had a look round, very restrained and didn't actually buy anything
Just don’t use the toilet rolls in the MH cassette, they are too good and strong I keep them for home and buy cheapest thinnest possible for canwell done we bought a" few things" when we got to the checkout the bill was £172 we did buy things we will use and at good prices but they come in bulk, we have enough washing tabs for at least 6 months the same with toilet rolls. AgreeThey have taken payment by credit cards for about the last 12 months
Me neither, but I joined at stall at the Great Yorkshire show, basically I explained that I wanted to join but as far as I was aware I didn't meet any criteria, he managed to find a way for me to joinI think Costco are elitist looked up their membership criteria and my profession isn’t good enough for them. That’s one of the best ‘excuses’ for a Costco shop, ever- I’ll use that one next time and hide the other things I don’t need under that cheese!!We went yesterday, popped into M&S enroute and took a few pictures of stuff we wanted for Christmas food, Costco meat and cheese platter is slightly cheaper but I prefer the Costco one, coilers cheese is £6.69 kilo, same as a strong M&S West Country, but again, I prefer coilers cheese, got Christmas nuts as they were much cheaper, sweet baby Ray's bbq sauce is £3 at asda, 2 for £4.66 at Costco, managed to spend £150 in store and topped up at the petrol station too
I've bought 2 TVs that have failed while under their 5 year warranty, it's probably a good job they're not covered on mileage as one of them was on 24/7 for months in my mother in laws care home, the other developed a line down the screen on dark scenesThat’s one of the best ‘excuses’ for a Costco shop, ever- I’ll use that one next time and hide the other things I don’t need under that cheese!!
It’s a great place to shop- amazing customer service is worth the membership alone!!
Oh dont even go there...partners son bought a tv from there, mainly for gaming.I've bought 2 TVs that have failed while under their 5 year warranty
I've bought returned TVs before, never had a problem with them, the 2 times I have the service has been fineOh dont even go there...partners son bought a tv from there, mainly for gaming.
He started to see small numbers in the top corner yep we all said the same thing...stop drinking
After being shown the numbers at stupid'o'clock we agreed and he contacted costco who said, repeatedly...'do one' .......he contacted the manufacturer who immediately (and I mean they stopped the conversation) asked for the numbers over the phone and really wanted to know where they bought it. They asked for a picture of the costco receipt and 2 days later a new tv arrived and the old one was took away no questions asked
An internet search tells us it's a refurbed tv not for retail purchase, manufacturer fault or costco ...no idea but costco just didnt want to know ☹
Everything you've ever bought is on their system, I found some taps in the attic, no recollection of ever buying them but there was a Costco label on the box so I rang them up to ask if I could return them.Yep, at first they said you didnt buy it from us then wouldnt take it back in store
Manufacturer wanted it back immediately, delivered new one and took old unboxed one away
Partners son has used costco for years as have we but the 'you didnt buy it from us' attitude from the beginning was a bit weird
They never replace, always refundWe were members years ago then let it go, we had bought a vacuum cleaner which went wrong, I returned it but as a non-member I was not allowed a replacement they gave me a refund. I found it cheaper at Comet but with only one year guarantee.
Not everything is cheap all prices have to be checked, we only joined for the fuel 19 ltr lower than local fuel stationsVisited Costco yesterday, They were selling a Fender Acoustic guitar FA 125 £139.99
Amazon, same thing £102.50
Gear for Music £89.00
