Rally Chester Rally Easter 2016.

Big thank you to all organisers of the rally. I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to everyone but decided during the afternoon rain that if my van would move I would leave this evening - if I was stuck it was going to be a 'sod it moment' and I would stay on until Monday morning and worry about it then. Needless to say I got away in glorious sun, only to hit rain again in Lancashire.

Again thanks to everyone involved, from Marshalling, to quiz setting/managing and of course the bacon buttie team.

Many Thanks to Terry & Techno for having a look at the problem with our Heater which would not light .
Also thanks to the organisers and doers for what was good rally we have had to leave early with gas problems.
So we took the Heartbreaking decision to go home after only one night and not meeting most of you on only our 2nd FUN rally but we will be back on the field when mended it looks like a trip to the dreaded Dealers
Regards to all on rally

Could be something to do with the fight that kicked off in the White Horse while 10 of us were finishing our coffee's after a nice meal.

The police are now out the front "talking" to a couple of peeps.

Got some great pics of the karaoke tonight. Will crop and (PROMISE!) to delete any crap ones! Another great night and I also nearly went home today as : flat battery=no heating =no telly, but will cope.....reminds me of when we had no central heating and outside lavvies!! So glad I stayed!

Techno on the left, and Funflair on the right, and both techies so I bet they engineered that rainbow between them.

We got away late afternoon yesterday after threat of even more rain. Thanks to Andy techno and Ray Swansea jack and the other pusher outers for helping get us out. (There is a tyre thread on the way!).
Extra rations of thanks to Carol and her gang for a really good weekend.
See you at Peterbrough with bottles!
Geoff & Therese (and Dottie).

Thanks to the rally marshals doing a good job. Thanks to the funsters who helped us off the field but sorry we didn't get chance to say goodbye but will catch up on other rallies. Once again thanks to everyone.

I suppose Jim will claim bragging rights as he just drove off with trailer attached.....
We made it by the skin of our teeth, with the help of @Tom A and his grip mats.
We really enjoyed our first meet, and are planning our next one.
C u soon. Mr & Mrs B :)

Well done the B's

Well we made it off okay and moored up next to @funflair and when I returned to give a hand to others I was told what a spawny git I was for getting off unaided, so I am one of the few to scrape into the spawny gits club.

Interesting point though, all the spawny ones had rear wheel drive and kept the revs low and the gear as high as possible.

Nice to make the acquaintance of several of the RVOC team and nice to see so many attempt to tip the tractor driver whether successful or not

Thanks carol and Eddie. ..

Superb job as normal....

Diff lock engaged and just driven straight off the field, we are not the only ones but it's a fairly exclusive club.

Martin

Out of interest, having escaped yesterday before what I thought might happen did, were you allowed or able to drive off forwards from where you were parked, I got off fairly easily, albeit before the worst of the rain, but I was slightly worried about the shunting bit I had to do to line up along the back of you lot, hope I didn't leave too deep a rut

Diff lock will be a serious contender for my next MH, did have a quick look at the 4 x 4 Hymer at TW last week, that would work, but don't like the look of it, too high off ground and quite a small MH

@Popeye has your Frankia got diff lock?

Thanks for a good rally and especially enjoyed last night, even the dancing! Thanks to Eddie and crew for guidance in getting off field ok. Now back in Leeds after a good drive. considering its Bank Holiday. Sun is shining, it's dry and a very muddy van needs some TLC. Once again thanks for a good rally.

A lot of RVOC members are also Funsters. We enjoyed both nights that we came over and are looking forward to seeing lots of you at Southport. We got off ok but did wonder at one point when the tractor churned up the ground behind us :mm:
