What does that mean?He thanks pitch up even though they take 15% he’s very happy.
google “pitch up” it’s a online booking site for campsitesWhat does that mean?
(I've not toured in U.K. before so experiencing a steep learning curve)
YesIs It just me or has anyone else noticed how campsite fees are rocketing, are we being taken for mugs by these companies trying to make up loses in lockdown.?
your thoughts welcome.

You could say the same about the London hotels who doubled and tripled their prices after the terror attack that closed all public transport, leaving stranded people looking for accommodation. It's strange but I have seen a few other accusations against other businesses about rip offs.
In my opinion a Rip Off requires one of two things.
1) Either you have no choice to pay. (Council Tax is one example when talking about bin and potholes etc)
2) You don't get exactly what you paid for.
Anything else is simply free market economics and you can choose to go elsewhere or go without.
Quite right. We pay £12.50 a night for our favourite CL. She increased her fee from £10 a couple of years ago but we think it’s still great value.
But what is your favourite CL?We pay £12.50 a night for our favourite CL. She increased her fee from £10 a couple of years ago but we think it’s still great value.
On my way again in 12 daysI'm afraid we don't have a vineyard here lots of wild life and plenty of room for a 5 van site. We wanted to try and keep prices reasonable, all as we need now is for more of you to actually visit us and make the most of this beautiful weather.
Doubt it’s owners making up losses but more supply and demand ie. if people willing to pay ridiculous charges why wouldn’t they. Friends are having same problems trying to book hotels, lodges, other people’s homes, Motorhome’s etc It’s not specific to camping and caravanning. Is It just me or has anyone else noticed how campsite fees are rocketing, are we being taken for mugs by these companies trying to make up loses in lockdown.?

Wetherspoons still reasonable, our dinners at Skegness last week were about £15 to £17. That's 2 meals and 2 drinksOnly now use CLs and yes upcharge to recoup . Can't believe how much a meal and drinks have risen since the unlock raised at least by £10 -15.
Used to love Thursday evening curry night. 2 reasonable curries, couple good pints of San Migel, couple Prosseco (wife is posh) all for next to nowt. It would cost more than double in our local village pub. Maybe soon we can do it again.Wetherspoons still reasonable, our dinners at Skegness last week were about £15 to £17. Great, if everyone went you'd have to queue even more for a table.I'd go hungry and thirsty before I'd go in Wetherspoons and line Tim Martins pockets.
People have short memories and if price adjustment is required many others will book. In sales no is not foreverThe sites that are/have extracted the urine will regret it when it's all calmed down and they want booking's, people will remember and wont book. Well at least i wouldn't.
Is that at Foy? Swmbo just mentioned going to Ross for a change since we go past it so often (week after next so dont worry. )The £15 CS we are currently on has fabulous views of the river Wye and has not been full all week.
