Bloody dogs

If you ban folk with dogs there are not many left
Lots of peoples reason for caravans and motorhomes is so they can take their pets on holiday.
Most dogs are fine it's the owners that are the issue
Its August the kids are still on holiday the weather is nice.
You either accept it or park your van up for the month.
We are just back from a few days away on a site. Yes busy, yes dogs yes kids
Still did the things we planned and enjoyed ourselves.
We would have preferred things quieter but I refer back to the point it is "August".Oh Please!.

I would ban dogs across the board , just dont see the point.
Allowing your dog to bark on site is every bit as antisocial as that statement & that's saying something.

Allowing big ugly heavily polluting vintage tractors to trundle about on unnecessary road runs is anti-social too!!
Isn't it annoying when we air our opinions which might be selfish on here? Come on chaser live & let live.

What i don't get is on our development (and others no doubt) the kiddies park area is also shared with the dog walkers. The dogs, i have seen several pooing in the grass their owners picking up the poo then kids playing in the same area, sometimes sitting and play fighting where the dogs have just pood. Don;t get it.
Maybe the kids should stop playing in the kiddies play area and leave it to the dog shi@@ers.

Generally dogs are not allowed in childrens play areas, which down here are usually fenced and and can't think that any responsible dog owner would allow their dog to poo in one,
There are unfortunately bad dog owners and this can lead to bad dogs, not the dogs fault though. Much the same with feral kids, there are well behaved kids so reasonable to blame the parents.

We’ll campaign the sites for the use of these, that’ll sort em out…..

Dont need em for cats, just saying :whistle2:

What the hell is your problem with Panel Vans? I can't stand Hymers but I don't go on about it

Well sounds like I'm doomed, doomed I tell ye, I have a panel van, and its a -----------------------------------Hymer :Eeek:

At least whoosh-bang doors don't slam constantly for 5-10 minutes when someone walks past or when left unattended......Just saying..... I'm not a yappy-dog fan as my previous posts will confirm.

Change of hobby called for or just live and let live dogs do bark from time to time.
My dog barks when he want a ball throwing or when he's guarding.
It's in ther DNA to do what dogs do waging tale wanting attention.
And from time to time barking smaller dogs tend to bark more than bigger dogs.
Dogs shite whare thay want so it's up to the owners to take them whare it not such a problem.
Kids will be kids thay do ther own thing within reason and hopfuly under the control of ther parent's.
I could go on but find a new hobby or head for the Shara dessert
Or Siberia you can drive for days and never se a dog a kid or any one.

Can't say I've ever parked up my van in a lovely scenic spot, put my best shorts and vest on, got the chairs out of the boot, a chilled drink out of the fridge and fired up the Kindle only to have my entire day of peace ruined by a vintage tractor continually starting up whenever someone dared to walk past it, or even by a whoosh-bang opening and closing itself. Kids get rowdy and I don't appreciate that either. Guess I'm officially old and grumpy 😠

You have touched on a big hate of mine..... seeing dog walkers on playing fields, be it rugby, football, whatever.
How on earth can you as a dog walker feel comfortable with cleaning up your dogs shi@@t from an area you know that others will be playing on ?
It is beyond me

As I thought would happen. Dog owners defend by saying my dog does not do that and why let polluting tractors etc. The against (to which I am one) note the instants that annoy them. I hope this thread my make the dog owners aware they are pi***ng people off.

As I said in the yappy dog thread, I am an animal lover.

I love well behaved dogs under control.
I hate untrained dogs. Dogs bark yes, but constant yappy dogs are so out of control that their owners zone out and don't hear it.

My wife’s best friend is so nervous of dogs she avoids her local parks because when she has used them in the past , dogs regularly jump up at her and make her frightened. Usually followed by “oh he won’t do you any harm” - too late damage done.

My 5 yr old grandson had a brand new white Tee shirt, ruined when an uncontrolled puppy dog dragging its lead in a park jumped up and mud all over him. The family with it each thought the other was holding it.
Luckily he has a dog of his own and was relatively ok, but the owners weren’t to know. Why is it ok to allow dogs to do that!

Love well behaved cats
Hate cats that are left to their own devices.

Cats decimate local wildlife, they crap on my property. So do foxes I hear you say- well yes, but they haven’t got owners and yes you have to accept some things in life especially nature.. but a pet is a chattel.

Owning a pet comes with responsibilities.

Instead of letting them wind you up you could try and work out what the dogs are actually saying?
They are pretty intelligent, in fact some would say that they understand our language much better than we understand theirs.
Get yourself a note book…..nice little project for the weekend👍
They are saying " have you heard this yapping human whining about everything...he should have stayed in the house and left the outdoors to us animals"

And I bet they said "my dog does not do that". I was a trustee of a country park. Not Council owned and a charity. Dog owners we the biggest problem we had. The country park had a big mere in the middle owned by an angling club. Multiple signs said keep you dog on a lead and do not let them in the water. Come summer a blue algae would grow in the water. The dog owners would take to social media and whip up a stink which gathers enough pace for the local radio to get interested. What are you doing about the algea? It is killing dogs. When you point out that there are multiple signs saying dogs to be kept on lead and should not be let 8nto the water the radio then says the trustees should enforce it.

All this for bloody dogs.
