Are you still going away?

Thanks for your reply. Not going to debate with you

Yeah, phnumonia (if thats how you spellit) lost about 5 stone

Out of curiosity what are you guys doing at the moment to save the world

Here Here to most of that!!! Boris has told us so many lies and promised us so much, how much of it have we seen to date? And if he still goes ahead with brexit after this lot, he has got to be further off his trolley than even the worst of us can believe. The country will be so in debt after this plus all the budget promises. Bruce
We voted as a country for Brexit so it will happen..Stop dreaming..BUSBY.

Very similar, just doing it in a different place. Calm down with the viscious content of your replies. Live long and prosper

I reckon there is more chance of this 72 year old man dying of a heart attack caused by a night of wild, lust filled passion at the hands (and other parts of the body) of a pair of blonde, identical 20 year old Scandinavian ladies than this coronavirus stuff...

I know how to get a heart attack....but how do you get your hands on these scandinavian twins?

The answer to that is you catch the C virus run a very high temperature and become delirious and start imagining your so hot because you've got two hot Swedish twins in bed with you:devil::unsure:(y)

Sorry that was rude. Yes of course we used bathrooms, emptied the toilet cassette. I also used the bathroom at Aldi`s, where do we isolate and have no impact at all? Its impossible, I am sure you have left your house for food, put rubbish in your bin which the bin men will have to touch, put fuel in your car touching a fuel pump, picked up a pint of milk or something else then put it back for something else, looked a sell by dates and put an item back.

Definitely.
Roll on the 4th April, the likelihood of catching it in Normandy/Brittany is very remote and it's not even likely to be serious if we do - no more than a dose of flu - Stay in bed and keep warm, it's not treatable - just like a cold.
How's the 4 th of April looking now,,BUSBY.

Busby, My opinions on this matter is, in my opinion, for the benefit of all of us in this country, not the winners or the loosers. I feel as strongly as you do about it and sometimes feel I have to comment when I see another believing what I feel to be Bullshit. I don't jump in and make snide remarks, the same snide remarks that I have been making for nearly 4 years. Don't you think it would be better to listen to both sides of discussion openmindedly instead of dropping in a series of catchphrase's that you have latched onto.
I am not your enemy. Bruce

Anyway, as much as we are all probably trying to do what we may think is the correct thing to do at the moment, do you not think that in the bar in the Commons, where they can still smoke their cigars and cafaa away, do you honestly believe any of our Parliment members are acting with a full conscience and our best interests at heart?. I certainly dont.

Stay at home. Shopping delivered and left on step, use your own toilet, no need for car. Refuse collection as normal by people who wear disposable gloves. It's not that difficult.

Oh dear. If your not going out why buy the wipes and protective gloves, depriving people who need them?

Making other people deliver to you, putting them at risk?

Nobody is right. When we get somone as opinionated as yourself there is no point in discussion. I am not saying I am correct, but taking precautions that I believe are right, and living through this as best as I can is about all i can reasonably do. I made up my own hand wash, use disposable gloves and dont expect others to do what I need to do. Stir crazy is springing to mind.

I really hope you are just another wind up merchant, sitting getting your laughs out of this. I would hate to think you are serious and if you are I wish you well. That would be a true shame as you are quite apparently letting this get on top of you, in which case i will bid you good night and hope you keep well.

I think some of you need to cool down If as suggested today this virus is actually air borne then its going to be damn difficult for anyone to avoid, while away in the camper the wife and I have been keeping self isolated we have just spent 4 days parked up in an old quarry I found years ago very remote overlooking a lovely wild bay with hardly anyone around now back home before the clown makes anymore stupid decisions that would have stopped us getting home. like most things common sense is your best defense and the knowledge that what ever you do you will probably get it if your lucky you may survive thats called fate and then be immune for about a year.

So Bottom line YOU ARE responsible for your self good luck with however you cope with it, But if as originally thought it had to be close contact and you have carried on as normal then except the consequences its YOUR life, Twice while away we met walkers who wanted to chat and kept coming to close until I told them in no uncertain terms to bugger off

Well maybe not as PC as Mr Trump but i am sure it worked. Yeah your right, we are all responsible for our selfes.

It was exactly within context. Your follow on post that I also quoted suggested that you would be frequenting the local businesses. But in any event the rest of the activities that I listed will provide plenty of opportunity to spread the virus.

You seem to be putting your money before lives with your reference to your business. The best and quickest way of getting over this emergency and returning to "normality" is for every one of us to take every precaution they can to stop or at least slow down the spread of this virus. And if that involves not having fun, or causing your business problems, so be it. It is a price worth paying in my opinion.

My wife and I are both over 70. I am in good health but my wife has some medical problems that make her higher risk. Her survival and, to a lesser extent, mine depend upon everybody, including you and ourselves, making every effort to prevent the spread of this virus. Otherwise we may not live to see your "normality" return.

Have you grasped the importance of this crisis yet?
Yes I've been following this very closely and in fact Ive seen someone albeit a long time ago with similar symptoms to those described and no it wasnt a pretty sight.

Obviously it will depend where you are on the vulnerability scale, but for many of us as long as we re careful what we touch and keep our distance from others, I think the chances of catching it or spreading it are manageable with care and maintaining isolation if we catch it would be better. I was actually thinking as I was out yesterday (shopping for parents who are definitely vulnerable) that if I was in the mh I would be better placed to wash my hands, prepare food and not have to use other loos etc

OK atm everyone is scared and committing to isolation but this could go on for months so people will need a release and for many a change of scene will be good so I'm suggesting that a Motorhome or self catering holiday cottage are probably the best options.

The better thing to focus energies on right now IMO are these selfish b*ggers who are stripping supermarket shelves unnecessarily.

There is nothing viscious with the content of my replies. I am merely trying to ensure that my wife and I do live long and prosper. And in these times that needs others to do their bit too.

At a guess I would think a good majority on here are retired. Why are you so fixated on holidays and getting away. Relax and enjoy what you have in your lives.
Many less fortunate have real concerns on how they are going to keep a roof over their heads and feeding their kids, not just self indulgence...

"Fast forward to two weeks from today.

You wake up with a deep cough, a fever, and full body aches. You go to the doctor and you’re diagnosed with coronavirus. For the last two weeks, you were unaware that you were infected. For the last two weeks, you’ve continued on with life as normal — coffee shop, spin class, restaurants, bars — refusing to even entertain the idea of “social distancing” because “I don’t feel sick.”

You spend a few days on the couch feeling pretty crummy and then you’re well again. Because you’re young and healthy and invincible.
Your 82-year-old grandfather who you visited last week, the one who wears oxygen and has a long history of COPD and heart failure? Not so lucky.
#SocialDistancing : It’s not about you."

We were due to had for France at the end of March but travel restrictions put paid to that so we decided to do a mini tour of the South of England until things resolved.

However, following the advice to employ “social distancing” and being in our (early) 70’s, we cut it short and returned home yesterday.

We were due to call in at our supplying dealership this Friday to have some warranty work carried out. They have agreed to hold it over for us until we are able to visit again, accepting that the claim has been made well within the warranty period. (Just to be on the safe side we have followed up their promise by e-mail in order to get it on record).

The C&CC have agreed to carry over our fees paid for a two night stay. We have to contact them within one month and arrange new dates which can be up until the end of 2020. Under their rules they could have refused any refund as the booking was less than 72 hours away.

So companies are doing their best to retain customers.

We are doing our best to protect ourselves and others. However, buying essentials is proving difficult due to panic buying. As we were away in the motorhome, and had been due to go to France for three months, we hadn’t built up stocks at home.

No wind-up - we're doing it. I'm not worried but have no difficulty following the Governments advice. We have absorbing hobbies that mean neither I nor my wife will become stir crazy. We have the motorhome for a couple of nights wild camping if we're desperate for a break. My concern is for my wife with reduced lung capacity (pneumonia a year or so ago) and asthma. She is less concerned than me but she needs to avoid the virus if at all possible.

The Camc and the CCC are not preventing anyone attending the campsites, and at present have put in effect common sense proceedures re booking in etc. The very nature of there sites is the good spacing between outfits and as always you have a fairly good chance of picking your own spot. If you have ever camped abroad especially on the coastal sites you would have a problem ie next unit can be a foot away from you. So use common sense and keep calm and carry on unless it becomes mandatory to do otherwise.
