Anyone worried?

We've been out to the garden, taking anything down that could end up being ( projectile object)
Take care everyone wherever you maybe, (y)

Yes me too, I’ve got loose slates just on the neighbours side of the roof (roofer booked a while ago but not coming till March) and if they slide off the roof it could damage the van, fingers crossed it doesn’t happen🤞🤞🤞🤞
Same here ,parked the van off the drive and on the road, had a tile come off in high winds a number of years ago and punctured the car bonnet, not taking a chance this time, stay safe 👍

Still very quiet and calm here, scary.

Stay safe. Gina.

I do wish they would name these storms better. I mean Dudley? Eunice?

Why can't we have Storm Psycho, or Storm Killer Clowns? Maybe, if they need to be a name, Storm Genghis, or Satan?

I Googled the one tomorrow and the meaning is "Mother of Timothy"

I'm going to feel embarrassed if the van gets damaged by Tim's Mum.

Think we should have someone like Stephen King name our bad storms. Maybe sequels for really bad ones with catch phrases like "it knows where you live"

I may have had a drink tonight.

we were suppopsed to take our grandson fishing for the weekend obviously thats now cancelled so its saturday visit to the london mueseum of docklands

there in alphabetical order youll have to wait for satan

Spookily quiet down here currently on the edge of the Red Zone. At the foot of the Blackdown Hills we are known locally as a focus for
SW winds but fortunately not flooding!

I am surprised (on maybe not?) at the number of people on Faceblook asking "do you think we should be driving or camping on Friday?"

How many high wind warnings do people need before they actually take notice?
Darwin wasn’t far wrong.

We were going to go to Port Solent after getting off the Galicia tonight.

However, because of the storm tomorrow we have driven nr. to home and are hunkered down in the van, very close to home.
We will get home tomorrow in the daylight.

Our eldest is Tim's mum, not this Eunice woman! I know it's true, I've seen her caesarian scar ....

We are worried and we are at home!

South Wales coast wind speeds predicted to have gusts of 100mph.

Now on the South Wales Coast!

Came down off the mountain Wednesday morning, because it made sense to! Tuesday night was wild enough.

Now home, van back on a treeless storage site.

My sofa window gives me a fine view of the Bristol Channel and I'm on the seventh floor, so I will have a fine view if the forecast comes true!

Driving to Dorset tomorrow evening will poke me nose out of harbour and see how strong the winds are!!

Why? You will not only put yourself at risk but that's your decision.

But please think of the varied rescue services who do not have a decision to make they have to be their, put their well being on the line to help people/spectators if it should go wrong.

Stay safe and view it on the TV and Social Media.

When kayakers name rapids they always go for things like, stay left or die, euthanasia, washing machine, crack of doom, just to name a few. Always makes you feel better as you wash down them. 😄

Taking ambulancekidd advice, I was going to have a lie in this morning. I have a weather window of a few hours to move North. By lunchtime I will be hunkered down and waiting for it to bugger off today.

There is also a VW van on site with a wind out awning that’s fully extended. 😫

I have been watching it build for the last hour , tucked up warm with a cup of tea, opened the window in the front of the house to pop my nose out this morning about 06.15 and you could hear it coming in the distance , even though the trees were barely moving. now the trees are dancing and the noise is louder.

I wonder if the window cleaner will come today he is very unreliable but nothing would surprise me 🍃🍃🎐🎐🌊🌊🌊🌊

Apparently female named storms kill more than male ones - at least in the US.

1987 storm I got a day off school, then went out to see damage and climbed some of the part fallen trees!!!!! Oh to be young and foolish 🤯

Red now for London and south east..... Blustery here (North Cornish/ Devon border) but not too bad, but expecting it to build, staying safe and warm inside

Not looking forward to today.
Pitched under trees, mature trees and we seem to be fairly sheltered as this area is very woody.
Trouble is wherever you pitch is potentially bad as under trees-danger of falling branches/tree, out in the open danger of being blown about/over, near buildings-danger of flying slates/debris!
I shall be pleased to see Saturday in one piece!

The winds west Yorkshire are only 20mph nothing to worry about.... By the time I get south to Sheffield and Birmingham the winds will most likely have reduced.
I have a pvc and not a motorhome too.

Spotted someone parked up at the marina in Ilfracombe!! Hope they are okay.

Best thing to do here is to knock on all your neighbours doors and ask them to remove the mattresses from their beds

Gaffa tape these to the roof and sides covering entirely your motorhome and voila, it works for me so i think it’s a great suggestion 😉
