Gartfairn Farm on the east side of Loch Lomond, no snow on the hills yet but we did get to see a Hercules fly down the Loch.

We were there the night before last, on the same pitch! Lovely little site, with everything conveniently placed, as long as you don’t need toilet & shower! We will be back! 😄

Apparently the poor bloke was just sitting reading his paper when a freak gust of wind flipped it over! He & his wife only had minor injuries, thank goodness! What a scare it must’ve been!

Your post made me laugh - so British! Talk about the weather but fail to mention the elephant in the room! Brilliant! 😂

I can tell its not a caravan club site only a CL as the caravan is parked a little to far past the peg and the wardens would be forced to mention that to them on their daily inspection

Could've been worse. He could have been on the loo.

All that salt spray in the air won't do the van any good, maybe a good idea to move inland a bit?
You don’t get a view like that inland and he has a bucket and water to wash down when he gets home. (y)

I'd stick to Lynton. It's relatively sheltered there. The NT parking spots at the top of Countisbury hill would have blown off into the Bristol Channel.

Spot on, we have stayed overnight there before, out of season, and once had to move as the waves were a little too adventurous! just love being next to the waves, but as you said, the van always gets a good wash and jet wash underneath when we get home👍👍

Beautiful weather at Bonterra Park
