Little Kaiteriteri beach, top of the South Island, NZ. From Boxing Day until mid-January this will resemble Blackpool Beach at the height of summer, but this weekend it was perfect. (I don't know where that snow came from!) If I had had my binoculars with me I could have seen my house on the other side of Tasman Bay.

Had 2 wheels on the verge and have hydraulic legs so a lot easier pitch black when we arrived and it was a bit tight reversing in,plenty of room further down though..

I fear we won’t be able to park there much longer as loads of FLTs parked up, one had a sofa outside another chairs and a remains of a fire on the grass!!

No doubt the council will put a overnight ban and parking fees

That’s probably why it’s called Moreton-in-Marsh.

I know I'm slightly cheating on this but this is a view from 'inside', in this case IKEA @ Murcia looking out towards the Very Large aire (area) specifically for motorhomes. The aire includes the usual facilities which are Free.
I appreciate that, because of the foliage you can't see all the aire, but, believe me, there are a lot of vans!

In the background, beyond the aire is the motorway A7 and just off to the right is a Decathlon and an Alcampo supermarket. Aldi and Lidl are in the immediate area.

First wild camping trip of 2022, kinda hazy weather, but dry & so silent at night that it was deafening. The old bus is looking well as her 27th birthday approaches.
