See it on a TV program when the chap was travelling through Europe and stayed there.
Nice site and quiet at the moment but would think hectic in summer.
Couple of days is plenty I would say unless it’s summer and you want to top up your tans
Bit of fun and games getting in as there is a 3.5m bridge that the satnav kept trying to send us under but with a look on maps there is another way in with a 4m bridge although they decided to unload a lorry there and block the road for 30mins

Wild camping beside Lake Dunstan, near Cromwell, an artificially created lake as part of NZ’s hydro power scheme.
The sound of jet boats ( an NZ invention BTW) spoils the silence, unfortunately.

Tucked up nice and cozy in the corner of my favourite pub carpark.

Been here since Tuesday afternoon. Night in the pub for burger and a few beers on my own, followed by my brother driving up from Weymouth to stop with me for a couple of nights and our sis and BIL for both Wednesday and Thursday.

Everyones gone now, so time to breath, sort outthe motorhome and back in the pub myself for farewell beers and a burger again tonight.

Cant rate this place enough. Even free EHU if required, so pretty amazing and so accommodating. Three vans here last night, all eating and drinking, so everyone’s a winner.

Yes, I remember it well. We stayed there about six years ago when we needed a base for friends to meet us while we were in the UK. I used to live in Bedfordshire in the early-90s so it was very convenient. Good food too.
