Our favourite wild camping spot in the South Island. So secret I can't tell you where it is except it’s in the Catlins. It’s reached after six kilometers of gravel road which bring you to an isolated sandy beach with cliffs to one side and rocks covered in mussels on the other.
We park on grass that’s kept mown by a mob of sheep (that’s the one disadvantage - sheep poo everywhere) and we’re literally a stone’s throw from the beach. The view changes every minute. It’s entertaining to watch the surfers, the fishermen, the sea kayakers, dogs running around, bird life, NZ sealions, etc. A fellow camper got us some Paua (abalone) which he cooked in butter - delicious. No cellphone, no internet, just peace and quiet. Bliss.
I am prepared to reveal the name of this little bit of Paradise to the first person who travels to NZ for a motorhome holiday.View attachment 449964View attachment 449965View attachment 449966View attachment 449967View attachment 449969View attachment 449971View attachment 449972
Who wears a swim suite like those white ones ?

Arrived here yesterday 2 minutes before curfew. Little but nice campsite with swimming pool and all sorts of different things.
The campsite is small and very familial, and what a beautiful scenery. I'm in Binazet not far from Narbonne, for some peace and quiet away from babies toddlers AND adults coming to my stadium for outdoors sports.

Here pics of the place from Max's inside

Looks like you are expecting a bacon sandwich :sneaky: I do hope you weren't disappointed.
You are correct Miss Marples was very nice, 😁
Dogs had a good run around then crashed out😁

Only 6-7 miles from my place, just about to buy a season parking permit as we like sitting over here all year round just a pity a few messed it up and now no overnights☹️☹️
