Spring blossom and snow on the tops from last night. Área de Autocaravanas ‘La Era’ in the village of Verdiago in the foothills of the Picos. Delightful spot with walking, cycling and canoeing on the doorstep. Work in progress on shower provision - to make up for it the proprietor turned up this morning with a bottle of local wine for us!

Lovely air, we were there last year. Fell in Love with the village. The free wine is a lovely gesture, we gave the place a good write up on-line and mentioned it with photos in our Journal. You can get a nice meal in the hotel just up the hill.

I think it was Malin Head where we wildcamped several years ago and were kept awake all night by the flashing light from the lighthouse. A lesson learned!

So here we are snowed in 3,000ft up in the Black Forest above Hornberg ,had a tad of snow overnight ,might be stuck for a little while (or until the gas runs out) ,but one of the dogs is loving it

With a little help from mr plow(he dug us out and we followed him down)and a lot of Hail Marys from my wife we managed to get down the mountain ,found LPG now sitting in the van (it’s bloody cold outside) on a lake side site enjoying some beer
