Stunning photos ! Can't believe that was the same village swamped in a flood a few years ago . The sight of the motorhome floating down shows the power water! Looks lovely now!Yesterday afternoon it was a bit quiet indoors, so I decided to pop out for a couple of hours locally and
ended up at Boscastle where I've not been for while. Walked the cliff path for a way and met lots of nice people to chat too, including a couple from Cheshire with 2 identical dogs to the late Kimberley - we swapped yarns! After that I went into the Witchcraft museum - now without a dog things like this are more possible, so perhaps "every cloud"..... View attachment 114021

Some of the walls in the museum are still free of plastering to allow the stone to properly dry out. Also a few of the exhibits are flood damaged - some being so rare they were irreplaceable, but not as many as you'd expect considering how bad it was. They've done some alterations to the way the stream runs through the lower part of the village to the harbour, but to be honest they've disguised it very well. The only obvious alteration is just below the bridge where there is a cavernous, letter-box type slit in one side above the water level. Such a piddly little stream most of the time!Stunning photos ! I brought some wild mint along too so the lettuce didn't get lonely... it has never been abroad before.
