LOL expression reminds me of David Cameron morning after the result.

If you didn't spend it on a lovely sheepskin (or two or three) you'de only waste it on whisky. Did Jax get a baby one that she can put on the dash to put her feet on (if she did don't have it on display when Joy comes avisiting.....);)

@Popeye I hoped you remembered the Funster discounts and checked out the resturant that is run by the head chef from the Chimneys supposed to be very very good. Any chance of some photos of your purchases , what was the weather like there would loved to have wild camped there if the weather had been good. :)

Today there are exhibitors names on the Food Court tents today, so I can plan what I will be 'snacking' on at the weekend :)

I am interested in what the Role Poly Ltd will be selling. :)

Hi @The Old Man just looked back through the photos of the tent village going up and can't see anywhere it says where it is, have I missed it, just wondering.

Thanks @FIDGET And @The Old Man I was wondering what the whole event is as I can't see mention off what the whole thing is for. :)

Thanks. It's our sort of place but too far for us. Enjoy your time there. I know we would.

For me just five minutes walk.

Cardiff Council are very good at spending my Council Tax on good events that I enjoy.

I think there is too much excitement in Wales to get any work done :)

The bandstand is built, for the all day live entertainment.

And the first, and possibly the classiest exhibitor has arrived;

Lovely day yesterday so decided to get out of the flat which seems so empty now. Drove over to South Devon for a day's heritage and history and to use my NT and EH membership cards. Went to Berry Pomeroy Castle - reputedly one of the most haunted in England, then had a nice pub lunch and went on to nearby Compton Castle which is a fortified manor house.
Incredibly narrow access lane to Berry Pomeroy in particular - stunning castle in a beautiful location, but don't go there if you've got even a medium sized motorhome, to cap it all there are two stone pillars at the entrance which just about gave access to my Transit van - inches to spare!

Glad you are getting out and about ! The castle looks stunning ,our type of place to visit but thanks for the heads up about the size of the van .(y)

I managed to completely mess up the uploading of my piccies though- computer said no!

This is the WIDEST part of the lane and the only place to even think about passing, and the lane is around a mile long to Berry Pomeroy Castle. The whole area hasn't changed in 100's of years I don't think. Also there's loads of very low branches as you drop down to the castle car park. Then there's Compton castle which is also a bit tight to get to, but not so bad as Pomeroy.
But don't use the castle car park but the one 50yds away for the tearooms. Though I did it's a bit tight
