What are they hoping to do with that?

oh, yes…….

…..replace their badge that was nicked by some thieving bastard.

My apologies for the facetious reply but the same thing happened to my Vauxhall Omega some years ago!🤔

Found one of the Calmac ferries which has not either broken down or caught fire, so have booked a ticket for Thursday to go accross to the Isle of Cumbrae, and stay on the aire in Millport.

With the barometer falling we decided not to stay another night on the southern Peloponnese and so we hit the road for Mystras. Madame Satnav wanted to play games and took us over the most incredible Taŷgetos mountain road from Methoni in the direction of Sparta. At one point, deep in the mountains with no alternative routes we were faced with ‘Road Closed’ signage and a barrier. Luckily a local came along shortly afterwards and confirmed that although there had been a minor landslide the repairs had made it just passable with care. Some pics of the Byzantine frescoes etc. from the many churches on the steeply sloped Mystras site:

We been there this morning. You should of tried the road to the castle gate, round the mistra mountain.

That’s where we went in after coming across further north - believe me, that was like a motorway compared to where we’d been earlier! BTW had an ‘interesting’ conversation with the lady in the entrance booth over my qualification for the EU pensioners rate - a sight of my wife’s Irish passport and our marriage certificate got it sorted though. Nafplio Harbour park up for last night. They have some sort of yachtie exposition going on with parties onboard - didn’t bother us after a tavena meal with wine!

Decided to leave town after a visit to replenish provisions and headed to nearby Karathonas beach for a breakfast fry up.

Our crew neglected to send the launch for M’Lady so she was reduced to swimming out to the boat - just can’t get reliable staff these days!

Next planned stop is Epidaurus - although it’s tempting to overnight here.

Started today with a bike ride around the bay back towards Nafplio, then a swim and breakfast.

Followed by another swim and then heading off for the short drive to the ancient 400BC Sanctuary and Theatre at Epidaurus.

Now on a freebie park up at the end of the harbour at Palaia Epidavros and enjoying an evening meal of pork souvlaki on the BBQ and watching the chartered boats coming in.

Caught FREE shuttle bus into Gent, lovely place, plenty to see. Bus stop by first photo.

Recommend boat trip on River Leie, good 40 minute trip. Ralf came on it as well.
