A photo of the day thread

Lots of mistletoe for next Christmas…..!! ;)

Those leaves dont look like blackthorn. All the blackthorn round here has just about finished. Blackthorn always flowers before the leaves (hawthorn flowers after the leaves have emerged) Looks more like cherry to me, lots of that out now.

Over the Picos into Riano from Potes. 150 MILES today including 30 on the wrong road (is that the same as being lost)
Spectacular roads and scenery, loved every mile.
Rest day tomorrow.
Warming up a bit here.....................even took my long johns off.
The deer has a significance. It's called something like Mirador-De-Corzo. No idea what. One is spose to pat/stroke it, i did, nowt happened:unsure::unsure:

My garden after the crows have wrecked it looking for chafer grubs.

They do not make as much mess as badgers but at least you can shoot crows. I got some nematodes to get rid of the grubs in the first place. It's heartbreaking to see.

This cheeky b*gger lands on the feeder and slides down the rail to grab the fatball coconut shell. Then climbs up to hold it in one claw whilst he eats the lot! When finished he just drops it onto the ground and flies off...

When we went over the bridge in your photo, many years ago, the road surface was appalling. Never seen so many potholes on a bridge.

We loved the area and enjoyed a tortilla, overlooking the river, in Potes.

2 bridges very similar in the same area going over the same lake. Both bridge surfaces yesterday were in good nick. I went over both. And like you i sat at the side of the lake having a cafe con leche and tosstada with tomato on........lovely. Beautiful area and riding.

Tarifa, SW tip of Spain. Four days of ferocious Easterly winds the so called Levante, gale force most of the time still warm and sunny though. Much calmer this morning so a five minute walk from our pitch to the beach. Lot more water to plodge through to get to the sea thanks to the wind and high seas but no more than ankle deep and so warm. Miles of beach all to ourselves and hardly a cloud in tye sky. Bliss
