What difference. Between 08.30 and 15.45 Today.

Currently in Seville, it makes Britain look a right dump, everywhere is immaculate, no empty shops, really busy with shoppers, no charity shops or Costa coffee on every corner

Wonder what their strategy is. Could it be like Sevenoaks, Kent, where most town parking is £2 an hour. Less people come into town, less money spent, less income for the shops, so they close. Council are out of pocket, so let’s increase the parking revenue and so the circle continues.

Bet it’s not a kings ransom to shop there 🤦🏼‍♂️

The main reason is that they give a shit.

Wild camping near Almerimar and the winds dropped today so we got the Paddleboards out.
Great paddling in the sun with the snow on the Sierra Nevada in the distance.

Can you knock on their door and asked them why there is no Stella to buy in French supermarkets?

Spring is here! These are hazel catkins but look really closely and near the top of some of the catkins you can see a tiny bud with red things sticking out of the tip. They are female flowers and the red things are styles which collect pollen blown by the wind from the catkins, which are the male flowers, typically around 240 in each catkin. The female flowers will form a nut once pollinated.

My father-in-law flew a Mosquito night-fighter during WWll.

They flew ahead of the main bomber stream and circled German night-fighter airfields. When the Germans knew that bombers were en route and wanted to intercept them the airfields flare path would be illuminated. That was the signal for the Mosquito to swoop down, fly at low level along the runway and try to shoot down the fighter during its take off run. That meant flying straight and level across the airfield and its associated anti-aircraft guns. It must have been terrifying.

He is mentioned in the book “Confounding the Reich”.

There is a big problem with small shops on high streets as many get an exemption from paying business rates so the local authorities don’t give a toss if they close down due to low footfall, they would rather do vanity projects such as shopping centres where planning and councillors can throw their weight about and maybe make a puck on the side.
