A photo of the day thread

Short walk on edge of Roadford Lake, just outside Okehampton. Lovely place, lived near lake for 27 yrs not really knowing it was there.

We didnt know about this lake either, we used to stay on a farm near Holsworthy all year round when we had the Caravan, we walked arround The Tors, Meldon Dam etc, but no where near here. They have a good looking reasonably priced campsite also, grass or hard standing with EHU if required. Might be a good place for a small informal meet.?

Good cafe as well

One of our sidelines is making neon's. The lads made this for me. It's supposed to be Bertie. I love it. Been stuck in the Garage so thought it would look better here. Only put it on now and again.

You need to straighten them pictures up as it’s annoying my OCD tendencies 😁😁

Big grandson, 3 n arf had his first night in a BIG bed. We made the bed in our workshops, (HOX Dubai) had it fitted before
he was told. He is mad on tractors and diggers, his favourite colour is green so it had to be a John Deere type thing. He loved it and stayed in the bed all night.
Small grandson had his "name day" yesterday. A big thing for Bulgarians (mummy is Bulgarian. Speaks better English than me)

Are you sire there enough teddies 🧸

West Mersea. Went to the Company Shed to try some seafood. It's expensive and just okay.

Parked in the nearby car park. Free for one hour, except both machines were out of order.

P.S. Moho name pre-dates the same name associated with a TV show.....

They almost presented on demand!

Things I forgot ….

Salt,
Washing up liquid,
Olive Oil,
And as I forget EVERY TIME:
Mustard - this time for the World Famous Ely of Ironbridge Pork Pie!

Thank goodness for Sainsbury’s of Bridgnorth!

tonka - the beer in the Shakespeare is still good apparently… the diet cokes are, well, diet cokes … 🙄

Grandson competed in the Pony Club Tetrathlon National Finals today and he’s only gone and won it!

As well as the individual medal and a best in the pistol shooting he also received the Championship medal as a member of the winning area team. He’ll be off to Hickstead soon as his school riding team have qualified for their Nationals - it’s a state secondary but they do that kind of thing down here!

He’s not bad on his feet as well - one of the BIG international footie clubs are making approaches for their youth scheme at the moment.

Don't tease me...
We have the van ready to hit the road. I actually looked at the Riverside bridgenorth campsite this afternoon for a few nights this week but not open / no space. 😭

We’re at Stanmore Hall Steve. We would have preferred Riverside, but as you say, it’s closed.

It’s 3 nights for the price of two = £70! It’s just as well we have the car, as there’s nothing in safe walking distance.

We’re here for the funeral of an old friend in Broadwas tomorrow, and then home on Tuesday.

Hope you’re both well - looking forward to catching up soon.
