View from the private beach at Duporth?

Yes, the steps down lead to Duporth beach. On low water spring tides, you can walk round the rocks at the end of the beach to get to Charlestown.
There is a lovely coastal path walk from Charlestown to Duporth beach and further on, to Porthpean beach.

Yes, the steps down lead to Duporth beach. On low water spring tides, you can walk round the rocks at the end of the beach to get to Charlestown.
There is a lovely coastal path walk from Charlestown to Duporth beach and further on, to Porthpean beach.

Know it very well, it’s just along the coast from us.
Every year a few folks end up calling the coastguard on those rocks by not paying attention to the incoming tide.

Nice, one of my favourite beaches - it’s got everything. Hemmick nearby is another favourite, but definitely not motorhome friendly!

Here in SW Northumberland overnight temperatures down to minus 6 so a heavy frost. These photos taken 200 yards East of our village looking Southwards over the So Tyne valley mid afternoon clearly showing where the sun didn’t shine.

Just back from 3 very cold but enjoyable nights at the C&CC site at Braithwaite Village near Keswick...

Some of the village wildlife....

and flora and fauna....

A walk along Coledale Beck....

Had a circular drive round Derwentwater via Lorton, Buttermere and Roasthwaite.

Looking down from Whinlatter Pass on a fog/mist covered Bassenthwaite Lake (Skidaw range in the background)...

Coffee stop at Crummock Water...

Looking west back down Honister Pass...

East from the top of Honister Pass towards the Helvellyn range...

This Herdwick looks like she's already got her Christmas jumper on...

A walk in some woods in South Molton, North Devon. After the -7 frost had gone, blue skys, winter trees, and calm ponds.

Vindolanda Roman Fort, SW Northumberland looking North mid afternoon frosty and cold. The South facing slopes of hills behind have thawed in the sun, not so the sheltered gullies and North facing slopes. We had a light dusting of snow overnight.

And conversely son's new BBQ in Dubai. It's only 30c there today.

Morning Wendy,
We're are only about 10 miles from home, so Margaret brought the car. It was narrow in places and would have been a lot tighter in the MH. Fortunately the roads were very quiet, although the double deck service bus gave us a fright at Rosthwaite!

Just been for a walk.
Gridlock.
Slightest slope cars cannot get up, and this is on the main A556.
Hovis tanker cannot get up a slight slope outside our nearest pub, jacknifed (dead slow and blocked School Lane.
No gritters have been out.........................blame that on B or C.
It's mad

Mrs Bob was due to meet her nephew that came in from from Canada about 10 miles away, shes going nowhere. Cannot even get off our development in a Range Rover. Oliver says 10ft of snow -30c and things carry on normal.
