It's one of our favourite spots in Scotland.Stunningly beautiful coastline along there and possibly the best yet most difficult patch of earth where I have spoiled a good walk chasing a little white ball.
Wobbles and sways a bit but nowhere near as scary as the newly opened via ferrata in the valley, including zip lines, which is free and self-guided providing you have the necessary safety harnesses, helmets, etc.. That is a step too far for me. Mrs B-D fancies a go though.Blimmin’eck. I’d want a parachute to walk across that thing. The photo of the road set my vertigo off and I am sat down.
Beautiful views in a beautiful part of France
There is a voie vert (disused railway line cycle path) that I have my eye on for May at this place. The new suspension footbridge across the valley at Mazamet.

May have to try cycling across it (after the wife tries it)
By the way, for anyone interested at having a go on the via ferrata at Mazamet - more details here -
Dunno. I saw the Grand Canyon from 35,000 ft.There's nowhere else on earth quite like the Grand Canyon is there? In fact it kind of spoils it for other great places - "Ayers Rock - yes it's alright, but it's no Grand Canyon"!
Have you been / planning to go to Death Valley and Monument Valley on your road trip?
We only got 1/4 way up Ularu before fathers 'love" of heights kicked in and we poodled back down. Ended up flying over in a light aircraft but never got to sign the book at the top. Don't feel bad about it now as the damage by visitors has been recognised.Dunno. I saw the Grand Canyon from 35,000 ft.
Buy climes Ayers Rock a few months later.
Both awesome.
But so was the Great Barrier Reef, Taj Mahal etc...
Blimey. I was there in 1986.We only got 1/4 way up Ularu before fathers 'love" of heights kicked in and we poodled back down. Ended up flying over in a light aircraft but never got to sign the book at the top. Don't feel bad about it now as the damage by visitors has been recognised.
But now they have built a dirty great hotel there
I always remember the feeling as we drove up towards the Grand Canyon c.1986 and thinkingThere's nowhere else on earth quite like the Grand Canyon is there?
