A photo of the day thread

Not a photo (or photos) of the day, but the following were taken over the weekend. The last photo explains why I didn't put the photos on here until today.
These photos were taken around the very top of the South Island, NZ.
#2 Our wildcamping spot next to a bird hide where we could see Godwits that have flown 6,200miles or 10,000kms non-stop for 5-9 days from the Arctic.
#4 Looking out across the Tasman Sea from Cape Farewell
#5 The view when I turned around after taking #4.
#6 One of the Cape Farewell buses that takes tourists along Farewell Spit to the lighthouse. Good to see they are back up and running.
#7 The view when I got home.

Posh part of Suffolk. Did some glazing on the lantern of the lighthouse many years ago in my time as a melchanic for Trinity House. Pretty scary, I didn't and still dont like heights

I was on top of Kit Hill near Callington in Cornwall this morning for an amateur radio event. The hill was covered in clouds when I arrived but the Sun burnt it off after a while.

This photo shows the Sun behind the old mine ventilation shaft which sits on the summit. My outdoor office in the foreground. :)

It is the very first time I have been able to park near my local (Avelar) stockist of Pukka Pies, pasties and frozen back bacon.

Kaffa is a derogatory term given to a black South African (spelt slightly different), just saying like.

When i worked and lived in SA it was used quite a lot against blacks as a derogatory term.

Where‘s the photo of the porpoises? And, I always remember the donkeys on the sand at Bridlington.
Too late now for the donkeys and here’s the porpoises in the harbour, took forever to get the photo 😇 :pinocchio:
