I don't know how you do it. It becomes a physical pain when I say goodby to my little grandaughter. . Even tho' she has just cut her own fringe when I wasn't looking.

Archie wanted an Afternoon walk around Apperley in Gloucestershire to scrunch some autumn leaves.

Found a scary looking leaf fit for Halloween.

And we know where to come for Mistletoe this year. I have never seen such an abundance in the trees.

Some terrific views West towards the Malverns.

And towards May Hill (far right side) with the Hasfield Caterpillar on top of Barrow Hill in the foreground. The May Hill plantation was planted for Queen Victoria golden jubilee.

After cancelling trips for a hospital appointment and then COVID jabs we are back on the road. Heading up the M6 we decided to break the journey and stopped at The ‘Owd Tithe Barn in Garstang, Lancashire.

A canal side setting, a characterful pub and good food. Very pleasant staff and a nice flat car park to overnight. Recommended.

I know this is a old post I live in Garstang and this was my sons old pub up until 6 month ago . I always tried to get him to sign up to Brit stops but the landlord of the car park (not owned by the pub) refused to allow any motorhomes to stay overnight ,he even threatened my son with a solicitors letter when he did . I know things change in 6 months but it’s worth checking.
