A cycling loop of a well known reservoir/lake today. Cold wind made it feel like winter but in parts where was sheltered from the wind and in the sun it was too warm for my winter gear

I hope you get a good night’s sleep. That looks a bit noisy to me. Where are you?
On the coast road just in Cromer. There was a bit of traffic until around 2200hrs then woke to some at 0700hrs, so a very pleasant sleep indeed. So much so that we’ll be here again tonight before heading to the NT at Blakeney Point 👍🏻

After cancelling trips for a hospital appointment and then COVID jabs we are back on the road. Heading up the M6 we decided to break the journey and stopped at The ‘Owd Tithe Barn in Garstang, Lancashire.

A canal side setting, a characterful pub and good food. Very pleasant staff and a nice flat car park to overnight. Recommended.

So not a photo but a video, just sat quietly having a bevvie on our last day on this trip when this bloody great big thing came round the corner.

What a site and the video simply does not do it justice, the depth of the roar and flames was just immense

The Calais Dragon.

it’s very impressive but we preferred the Nantes Elephant.

When we were coming to Swiss Farm last time someone on here recommended The Old Bull in Henley. We did look but it was under refurb so never got the chance.
Well to night i did go in, had a couple of beers and food.
Very very nice indeed.
An idea of how it looks
Did call in Weterspoons, GRIM, the beer i got was crap, left half (not like me) moved on.

Managed to get into the tight fitting Alberobello sosta. Then had a crowded walk (cruise ship tours) around the town of 'Trulli's'.

Turns out it was the festival of their town Saints. Plenty of festivities, finishing off with a firework competition. Even had the local excellent band playing an opera from the town bandstand.
