A photo of the day thread

Rudyard Lake looking good. Looking very much like a Caribbean island

Another day, another lake/reservoir.
This one is Tittesworth 3 miles north of Leek. Severn and Trent Water have done a great job here, lots of parking, great play area for the kids, waymarked paths and a stunning visitor centre/cafe (dogs allowed on the terrace). We spent a couple of hours here yesterday before heading home yesterday.

Do bike rides to there occasionally. Lovely place. Never seen that sofa though?

Go through the last car park on the left (with disabled parking spaces and out the end. Bear right and it’s there - along with a giant chair as well. 😉

Not so much a photo of the day, but videos of otters crossing the river in down town Chippenham high street, right by the road. Think I was extremely lucky to have been in the right place at the right time.

Mother and 2 cubs. One in her mouth and the other on her back to begin with then swam the last bit. Water was running quite fast so quite a swim for the little thing.

Gave up waiting on the rain stopping so headed off to the camp site on the west side of Skye. Sunny at mo though quite breezy . We have been today’s entertainment in respect of erecting the awning 🤣. However, fab view from our pitch

Alex’s birthday weekend. Lovely site at Cardiff campsite. Pubs close to site in walking distance. Surrounded by parkland and no road noise. An added bonus is it’s the food and drink festival this weekend. Right next to Glamorgan cricket field too. Well worth a visit but you need to book well in advance as often used by people using the millennium stadium for events.
