A photo of the day thread

The sign that the first of 4 night shifts is nearly over.
Terrible views at work 👍

Another for the tree huggers.
This Yew tree is in the church yard at Stoke Gabriel and is believed to be around a thousand years old. The branches are so long they have to be supported.
I imagine this beauty could tell a few stories.
Amazing !

A quick question for you folks. My Samsung phone is ok for snap shots, but no good at views :(

Do you use phones or cameras for your shots?

I'm looking at the Canon EOS 2000D maybe

TIA

Not much impact on the payload then with those tin cans! I had a 2CV back in the 1980s and loved it and have often thought about getting another. The only thing putting me off is the safety considerations when wife, kids, and kids of kids would be in it.

I use a Nikon D5300 with a Sigma 8 - 16 mm lens for landscape and also streets and buildings.

iPhone. Simple and always with me.

Have a Nikon D7200 but too bulky to be bothered with most of the time. Plus I need to learn how to get the best out of it !

Our local stretch of the Lancaster canal is home again to this pair of swans, this year 9 hatched, 1 gone missing so far and hope they don’t lose many more. This same pair raised 5 last year. The male chased after a small white pleasure boat for at least 1/4 mile with his neck right down and wings curled back, he definitely knows how to protect his family.

In my mind I was thinking this snail had climbed this bolder to see how far he’d to go to reach Morcambe, in the distance.

I hope it’s not just me but if I’m walking and see a snail crossing the path I pick him up and put him in the grass the way he’s going. Hope that doesn’t disorientate him. Sometimes I have to give up as would never get Margo walked and to work.
